“You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here.”

And that’s it. The 59th Annual Bratwurst Festival is officially in the books.

Thank you for showing up. Thank you for eating the brats, supporting our vendors, listening to the music, watching the parades, buying 50/50 tickets, and filling downtown Bucyrus for three days.

And thank you for letting me have WAY too much fun with this page. 😂 Thanks for laughing at the ridiculous posts, sharing them, commenting on them (that we allowed), and just going with it. If we made you laugh at least once this week, mission accomplished.

There are a lot of long days, late nights, group texts, radios, extension cords, last-minute changes, weather watching, and general chaos behind this festival. But then downtown fills up with people, the music starts, somebody hands you a brat, and you remember exactly why we do it.

Bucyrus, you showed up. ❤️

We are keeping a close eye on the weather heading our way.
As you’re enjoying the Festival tonight, you may notice some vendors choosing to close or begin securing their booths a little early. Please give them some grace! With weather approaching, they need time to safely secure tents, merchandise, equipment and their spaces.
The Festival has not closed at this time. We are continuing to monitor conditions and will share any official changes right here.
Until then, enjoy the Festival, keep an eye on the sky, and please be kind to our vendors as they prepare

Doug popped in to make sure everybody knows — we’ve got a FULL day ahead of us downtown!

Come hungry, stay awhile, wander the vendors, grab a brat (or three), catch some entertainment, and DO NOT make the mistake of going home too early.
