Plant Barry APSO pulled up to the North Mobile K-8 Splash Bash today running the concession stand like a whole snack cartel 😂🌭🍕

We was out there hustlin’ nachos, folding pizza boxes like street money, launching soft drinks, dealing pickles, and keeping the sugar supply flowing with cotton candy and Sour Patch Kids while the kids ran wild through bounce houses, water slides, and the fire truck rain shower 💦🚒

Big respect to the red shirt crew that kept the operation rolling: Cherie Gatlin, Danny & Stephanie Bolerjack, Lora Lofton, Jade Wilkerson, Brandon Dunagan, and Gavin Schmitz. Y’all didn’t just work the stand… y’all ran the block 😂❤️

🌸 Spring Clean-Up Success! 🌿

APSO had a fantastic Spring Clean-Up at Lee Elementary School and Spanish Fort Elementary Outdoor Classrooms! Over two different days, our incredible volunteers worked tirelessly to prepare the outdoor classrooms for student use.

From pulling weeds and pruning bushes to planting flowers and cleaning the turtle habitat, every effort was focused on creating welcoming, hands-on learning spaces for students to enjoy and learn from. 🐢🌼

A huge thank you to Walter Rosenbohm and Madison Maughon for leading these projects and keeping everything running smoothly. 👏

This work would not have been possible without our amazing volunteers:

Jeremy Nelson, Jeff Reeves, Brian Charles, Webb Bryant, Emily Green, Shawn Stinson, Angela Weston, Trey Parker, Bill Ward, Patrick Smith, and Catie Bryant — we appreciate each of you! 💙

We love working for the kids and are grateful for the opportunity to support some truly wonderful teachers—especially during Teacher Appreciation Week! 🍎✨ Thank you for all you do for our students every single day.

Plant Barry APSO was proud to volunteer at the Mobile Area Special Olympics Track & Field event today!

Our team had the privilege of assisting with the wheelchair and assisted walk events—cheering on incredible athletes as they demonstrated determination, strength, and true sportsmanship. These events are just a small part of a larger day that brings together hundreds of athletes from across the area to compete, celebrate, and shine.

It was an inspiring experience to support such amazing individuals and be part of an event that promotes inclusion, courage, and community.

Thank you to Stacy Simmons, Danny and Stephanie Bolerjack, Greg Stoll, Kenji Turner, and Sharon Meier. We are honored to give back and support these outstanding athletes! 💙🏅

Each puzzle piece represents love, support, and a step toward something bigger. Make a donation of any kind and add your piece to help support Camp Smile—because every little bit makes a big difference!

A huge THANK YOU to Doodle + Dash for the amazing sign and your support in helping us kick this off. We appreciate you more than you know!

Let’s keep building this wall, one piece at a time 💛💙💚

Plant Barry APSO is proud to announce the installation of the Buddy Bench at George Hall Elementary. This project has been in the works for quite some time, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed to bringing it to completion.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Tabitha Wright for the outstanding paint work and to Albert Miller for his dedication in installing and clear‑coating the bench. We also thank Tuan Nguyen, Sid Campbell, and Brandon Dunagan for transporting the bench to the school and completing the installation.

Your hard work and teamwork will have a lasting impact. The students at George Hall Elementary now have a special place to sit, connect, and build new friendships.

Volunteers from the Plant Barry APSO Chapter had the honor of serving families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Mobile this week. ❤️

The team prepared a comforting, home-cooked meal featuring chicken and sausage jambalaya, a fresh salad bar, and homemade banana pudding for dessert. It was a small way to help ease the burden for families who are focused on what matters most — caring for their loved ones.

A special thank you to Project Leader Melanie Robins for organizing the effort, and to volunteers Joe Baas, Josh Weaver, Angela Weston, and Sharon Meier for giving their time and heart to serve.

We are proud to support our community and grateful for the opportunity to make a difference — one meal at a time. 🍽️💛
