🌲 POA Community Update 🌲
Last night’s meeting… well, it was definitely not one for the books. It felt like the universe was being a bit testy. But even in the small chaos of the evening, we found a bit of light — another member stepped forward and offered to help on the legal side of things, which is a huge step in the right direction. And truly, what kind of life would this be without a few bumps, twists, and turns along the way?
Here’s where we go from here:
We’re gathering the correct documents so we can begin collecting signatures for two of the issues discussed in previous meetings. This is the next step — and it matters.
But none of this moves forward without you.
We need an informed, active community that cares about fairness, transparency, and the proper treatment of POA members. There is far more going on behind the scenes than most people realize, and it deserves daylight.
If you’re concerned…
If you’re doubtful…
If you’re curious about what’s really going on…
Get involved. Show up. Bring your neighbors. See it firsthand.
This isn’t drama.
This isn’t gossip.
This is real life — real decisions, real consequences, and in some cases, real inaction where action is needed.
I’ve talked to neighbors who have chosen to go to other local parks and lakes because using the one in their own backyard has become too bothersome, the very lake and parks that they fund to use — I've heard cases of slander, racism, I've seen threats and bullying, I've heard from several members who feel completely ignored for far too many issues. Unfortunately, these are just a few concerns that have been brought up thus far.
If you want change, you’re part of the solution.
✨ Show up. Speak up. Stand together.
Our next meeting will be held in the middle of February — and your presence matters.
This community belongs to all of us, and it’s time we move forward with fairness, transparency, and unity.

🌊 Lake Gitchegumme POA Residents 🌊
Thank you to everyone who joined our meeting last night—whether in person or on Zoom. Your presence and voices matter, and we hope the conversations inspired you to keep moving forward in our Rally.
For those who attended, please share what you heard and learned with neighbors and friends who couldn’t be there. Some may still be unsure about stepping forward, but hearing from you could make all the difference. Every voice counts, and together we can build the change our community deserves.
We know not everyone has had personal issues with the current board, but many of us have heard concerns that we can agree are not ethical or right. Even if you once thought certain matters were “no big deal,” last night showed how important it is to show up, listen, and share.
📑 Our lawyer is compiling the documents we’ll need for signatures. Once they’re ready, we’ll provide several ways for residents to sign—details will be shared soon.
✉️ If you attended and have thoughts, experiences, or concerns to add, please email them to [email protected]. This email was created specifically for residents so we can begin building files and moving forward together.
Let’s keep speaking up, sharing our experiences, and bringing more neighbors together. Not everyone is on social media, so your word-of-mouth matters more than ever.
đź’Ş Together, we rally. Together, we rise

Lake Gitchegumee POA Members — Important Update
Last night, we met with the attorney to address serious concerns about the current POA board. It’s now clear: there are multiple issues that need to be brought into the light. We’ve also learned—through evidence—that some residents have stayed silent out of fear of retaliation. Sadly, this fear is not unfounded, and it’s part of why we’re taking these steps.
We know some neighbors are still unaware of what’s happening, or hesitant to believe there could be wrongdoing. If you’ve felt in the dark, now is the time to step forward and get informed. Those who have spoken up are bringing forward documentation of misconduct—and in many cases, a complete lack of transparency when basic information has been requested.
We are moving forward. Another meeting with the attorney is scheduled for the first week of December, likely at 6 or 6:30 PM to accommodate working members. I’ll confirm the exact date and time as soon as I hear back.
If you want to speak up but are worried about backlash, please know you can contact the attorney directly—confidentially and with full protection. You can also message me privately with questions or concerns, and I’ll do my best to help you get the answers you need.
In the meantime, please talk to your friends, family, and neighbors. Stay informed. Stay connected. And stay tuned for updates.
Together, we can bring clarity, fairness, and accountability back to our community.
