The Lorentz Community Building has been a part of downtown Lorentz for over 100 years. The building was initially used as a one room school until it closed in 1966 and then was sold to the community to use. Over the years many groups like the Lorentz CEOs, 4-H, Extension Homemakers and Farm Women’s Club have used the facility as a meeting place. The building is currently available for groups and f
amilies to rent at a modest fee. It has a full kitchen with a pass through for easy serving and accommodates up to 50 people. The Lorentz Community Building can only be used for non-profit, educational and community purposes. A for-profit business cannot use the facility for a for-profit activity. No alcoholic beverages of any kind or type, including so called intoxicating beer, can be sold or dispensed on the premises. The facility also enforces a “no smoking” policy. Rental rates:
Half Day up to 6 hours $75.00
Full Day up to 12 hours $100.00
$25 refundable cleaning deposit
Deposit forfeit if cancelling without 48 hours notice
