Will you take a moment and help us CELEBRATE our amazing 2025 Water Trail Volunteers?

If you attended an event with us this past summer, you mostly likely ran into one of these kind humans. Our volunteers put in a total of 350 hours of service. From picking up trash, to scouting rapids, to organizing events, and helping first time paddlers get on the water, our volunteers made a real impact in our community and river.

Our volunteers promote stewardship, an idea that encourages each one of us to take care of and interact responsibility with our local waters. Our Stewards volunteer program is a reminder that a small team can make a big difference!

The Buckhannon - Tygart Valley Water Trail (co-sponsored with Save The Tygart Watershed Association) unites two rivers, two counties, and countless others along the way. We are all connected by water! 💧

Wow, we are so honored to be recognized as a Headwater Hero! This award celebrates all of our amazing volunteers, board members, partners, and supporters. We can’t do it without you, and it takes ALL of us to protect and celebrate our river 💙

We enjoyed hosting watershed groups from around the state this past weekend on our very own Buckhannon-Tygart Valley Water Trail! Did you know this is WV’s newest Water Trail? It spans 45 miles from Sago to Arden, and includes 30 miles of the Buckhannon River and 15 miles of the Tygart Valley River!
