Community Cat Advocates We are a group of animal lovers providing support for cats and their caretakers. Our focus is TNR!

We are a small and devoted group of individuals who are passionate about TNR, keeping pets in loving homes, finding homes for stray cats, networking between rescues and shelters, and community knowledge sharing in order to better the lives of animals. We are a registered 501(c)3 (non-profit) and all donations are tax deductible. Between our founders we have many years of experience volunteering wi

th several different rescues and shelters. We have seen suffering, unnecessary killing (masked as euthanasia), neglect, and the hardships that Maine winters always bring. More importantly we have seen courage, resilience, caring, compassion, and people who would do anything to help an animal in need. We are hoping to help Maine's community cats through spay and neuter assistance for underserved populations. We are not an animal shelter, we are here to help with TNR and connect people and cats in need with the appropriate individuals who can assist them.

We have had no interest in Marbles and we can't figure out why, he is the best guy! He is looking to be the only cat in a home, but gets along fine with dogs, rabbits, and small animals in his current environment.

He would make a great addition to a quieter home and needs someone who can give him time to decompress. His current situation has other cats and isn't ideal, he is unhappy and we are committed to finding his perfect person. We are begging for our followers to please share him so we can find that person for him.

Thankful Thursday is here, but truthfully we are thankful for our followers every day.

We wanted to shout the people who sent donations (we didn't get pictures of all of them) including Donna Dancause, Patricia Farr, Jacqueline Mansfield, Matthew Campbell, Kali McPherson, Cheryl King, and several others (packages came in without senders info). We ❤️ our fosters! Teeny is loving life at Marshwood Center where she has found a best friend. Not only does fostering help our cats get the attention they deserve but it also benefits the humans who care for them. A huge thank you to Lynda who goes above and beyond to coordinate with us. We are looking for a special home for a cat whom we know has so much potential and has already come an extremely long way. He just needs the right person that he can bond with.

Marbles is a 4 year old tabby who will follow you around like a dog once he warms up to you. He loves his cat trees, spring toys, and moving water. Marbles is looking for a home with no other cats as he prefers his own space. He is tolerant of polite dogs, and is best friends with all other types of animals he has met so far including rabbits, mice and lizards. To set him up for success, Marbles will come with his water fountain, cat tree, and toys (his favorite things to help him adjust).

We have many cats in care right now and our shelves are nearly empty. We get asked daily to help with abandoned cats but we are limited by funds and supplies. We currently need dry and wet cat food, litter, trash bags, and paper towels (not exciting we know! But expensive all the same).

We have 4 ferals looking for a barn to call home, they are fixed/vaccinated/microchipped/flea treated/dewormed and ready to catch rodents.

If you have never had barn cats here are the requirements:
Food and water daily ✅️
Shelter (barn/garage/covered area)✅️
Rodents✅️

Here are some things they dont require:
Litterbox ❌️
Being cuddled ❌️
Waking you up at 3am for food when they already have some in their dish ❌️😅

Barn cats are super easy, provide green rodent control, and are fun to watch thrive in their natural environment. We provide delivery within reason and can give advice on how to set them (and you) up for success.

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Moof was adopted! If you remember a while back, Moof was so sick that he needed to see a specialist to have a full mouth extraction due to how significant his dental and gum disease was. He is now living it up with his new mom & dad, and cat brother Louie! He also has a couple bunny friends, Jett and Annie. 🐇🐇
