Join us at Mercados and Melodies: Avondale Juneteenth on Thursday!

The WOW Coalition and Youth4Youth will be hosting a prevention resource table at this year’s Avondale Juneteenth celebration, and we are excited to connect with the community while also introducing the NEW Avondale Impact Coalition.

Stop by our table to learn more about youth leadership, community prevention efforts, and how we can work together to support safe, healthy, and thriving youth and families in Avondale.

We will also have naloxone available at no cost for community members, you could be the reason someone gets a second chance.

This is what happens when students are given the opportunity to lead, use their voice, and be part of the solution.

This year, Buckeye Elementary School District Youth4Youth students stepped up in a big way — learning, growing, presenting, encouraging their peers, and showing what youth leadership can look like when students believe they can make a difference.

We are so proud of the hard work, courage, and impact these student leaders brought to their campuses this year. From peer-to-peer presentations and youth led assemblies to schoolwide prevention messages, they proved that young people are not just the future — they are leaders right now.

Way to go, BESD Y4Y students! 💜💛

Congratulations to this amazing group of student leaders for completing the Youth4Youth Classroom Challenge!

This dynamic team took on the challenge of reaching every student on campus with their powerful message: “Don’t Be Someone You Are Not.” Through their leadership and peer-to-peer presentations, they were able to impact 375 fellow students, encouraging them to stay true to themselves and make positive choices.

As the inaugural Youth4Youth team at Avondale Middle School, they have truly set the bar high for future teams and are helping create a stronger, more positive school community.
