THANK YOU to all the members and guests that attended the Annual Meet & Greet with Talent Show at the Buckeye Community Veterans Service Center! Another fun event that was a collaborative effort between many groups! This Annual event has been organized the past several years by ALA Unit 53 to help kick off the busy event calendar at the BCVSC and to help share what resources are available in Buckeye for veterans, active military, and their families!
Introductions were made by Post 53 Commander, Gil Clapp, who shared that Post 53 now has all 4 groups of the American Legion Family.
Post, Auxiliary, Sons, and Riders.
He announced upcoming events at the building and activities on the Post 53 calendar.
Trina Stark, Unit 53 President, introduced her members present and shared upcoming Unit 53 events. She presented a 60th Wedding Anniversary card from the Post 53 Family to Don and Kathy Nathaniel, and thanked them for their help with events and care of the Post 53 Home the past several years.
Les Manuel, head of the Post 53 Riders, shared their mission and upcoming activities.
Cub Scout Pack 53 leadership shared their appreciation of Post 53 for giving this new Pack a Home at Post 53. They also had an info table with popcorn sales.
Girl Scout Troop 2237 was recognized for their collaboration and support of events at Post 53 over the past several years.
The Talent Show consisted of Acts by Unit 53 with the “Boot camp” Grannies and the Cub Scout and Girl Scouts performing a variety of acts.
Shout out to Mirna’s Place for the donation of prizes for the Talent Show participants!
