We have been having a great time learning about some of the miracles Jesus performed.

This week was about a man who was paralyzed and needed to be healed. Jesus knew this and did something greater: Jesus forgave his sins, then healed the man.

We also talked about how God never leaves us, so we can be loyal to those who need a friend.

The past few weeks we have been talking about some of the parables Jesus told. Today we learned Jesus taught that Heaven celebrates when a lost person (someone who doesn’t know God and the good news of the gospel) is rescued. And how we can have JOY because we can see God at work, and how we can have joy in every situation.

This week we talked about TRUTHFULNESS! We also learned what a parable is. How each parable taught a lesson and revealed secrets of God’s kingdom. We talked about a story Jesus told about a farmer, who planted seeds by scattering them on the soil.

Today we learned about Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus was not generous. He was greedy and stingy and, as a result, had no friends. But when he met Jesus, he experienced God’s generosity. Jesus accepted Zacchaeus and treated him like a friend, even though Zacchaeus didn’t really deserve it. And God’s generosity changed Zacchaeus completely; he wanted to be generous to others.

And how God is generous with us, too. God’s generosity to us prompts us to show generosity to others, even to those we
don’t always get along with, like Jesus did to Zacchaeus.

We had a good time this week in class. We learned about Jesus being tempted, and how He overcame it with the power of God's word and self-control.
