The first Thanksgivings of the Christian English speaking people in America was at Cape Henry in Virginia Beach,
April 16, 1607.

Then again on Jamestown Island on June 10, 1610.

And once more at Berkeley Hundred in Virginia on December 4, 1619 - all before the Pilgrims set sail for Plymouth Rock.

The first Thanksgiving Day Proclamation was issued by Confederate President Jefferson Davis - a full year before the Yankee tyrannical usurper Lincoln.

JUNETEENTH ?!?! 😂

Lincoln promoted the Corwin Amendment during his first inaugural address March 4, 1861.
That would have made slavery perpetual and unrepealable from the US Constitution.

August 30, 1861: Union General John C. Fremont ordered all slaves in Missouri to be freed.
September 11, 1861 Abraham Lincoln revoked the order and fired Fremont.

May 9, 1862: Union Major General David Hunter ordered all slaves in Florida, Georgia, and SC to be freed.
May 19, 1862 Abraham Lincoln revoked the order.

August 22, 1862: Abraham Lincoln writes to Horace Greeley and says "If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it"

January 1st 1863: Lincoln exempted freedom of slaves in New Orleans, Missouri, Kentucky, Delaware Maryland New Jersey, and Tennessee in his Emancipation Proclamation. All other areas he had no authority.

June 20, 1863: Lincoln admitted West Virginia into the Union as a slave State.

August 1864: Lincoln told the New York Times his sole purpose of the War was to restore the Union, not free any slaves.

Lincoln until his death in April 1865 was actively sending blacks back to Africa.

June 20, 1865: Union Major General Gordon Granger issues a circular announcing all slaves in Galveston Texas are free but must work and not be idle.

It wasn't until December 6, 1865 that the 13th Amendment was ratified and freed all slaves.

Native American Indians freed their slaves in 1866.

David says:
"We don't do it to stand out or to get recognized. It's just something we enjoy doing with each other. To get away from our hectic lives. Also there may be someone out there looking for their ancestor like me."
