The NWTF Virginia State Chapter is thrilled to announce our 11th Annual Youth Turkey Weekend Facebook Photo Contest, happening April 5th and 6th, exclusively for our young hunters in Virginia! This is YOUR chance to shine, and we’ve got some amazing prizes lined up for TWO lucky winners—one for 12 & under, and one for 13-15 year olds! 🤩🎉

Each winner will walk away with a brand new 20-gauge pump shotgun! 😱 (Yes, you read that right!) Whether or not you harvest a turkey, YOU can still win, as long as you post a picture of yourself out in the field with your firearm or archery gear!

🎯 How to Enter:
1. Open to all youth 15 and under hunting in Virginia ONLY during Youth Turkey Weekend (April 5 & 6, 2025).
2. There will be TWO winners: 12 & under, and 13-15!
3. LIKE the NWTF Virginia page to stay up to date.
4. On April 5th, head to the OFFICIAL YOUTH DAY CONTEST THREAD (we’ll post it first thing in the morning) and share your pic from the hunt!
5. Submit your photo in the CONTEST THREAD by midnight on Monday, April 7th. Any photos posted on shared posts won’t be counted.
6. Make sure your post includes your First Name, Last Initial, Age, and City/County of your residence.
7. We’ll post a list of names on April 9th so you can double-check if your entry is in. If you notice a mistake, let us know before 12:00 pm on Friday, April 11th so we can correct it.
8. Winners will be selected at random and announced on Friday, April 11th by 8 pm!
9. We'll confirm all details with the winners before awarding prizes, so accurate information is a must.

Our Botetourt Longbeards won three awards at this year’s Virginia State Chapter Annual Awards Banquet:

-Turkey Hunters Care award for most frozen turkeys donated.
-Best Repeat Wheelin Sportsman Event for our annual deer hunt.
-Best Overall Women in the Outdoors (WITO) Event.

Thanks go out to everyone who so generously supports our chapter in all we do. Special thanks, also, to all our committee members and volunteers for all the hard work put in to make our community outreach possible.

Youth Weekend Photo Contest
The NWTF Virginia State Chapter is hosting their 10th annual Youth Deer Weekend Facebook Photo Contest for youth hunters, hunting in Virginia only, on September 28-29. There will be two winning categories, 12 and under, and 13-15 year old hunters. Each of the two winners will receive a new standard caliber rifle. You do not have to harvest a Deer to enter the contest, BUT you MUST post a picture of you in the field during the hunt, with your firearm or archery gear. The rifle must be picked up at your local FFL dealer, and all winners must meet all FFL requirements. Here are the contest rules:
1- This contest is open to all YOUTH, 15 & under, hunting in Virginia ONLY during the Youth deer Weekend, September 28-29.
2- There will be TWO winners, 12 and under, and ages 13-15.
3- LIKE our NWTF Virginia page.
4- Go to the OFFICIAL YOUTH DAY CONTEST THREAD and post your pic. (Will be posted early in the morning on September 28th.)
5- Post a picture in THE CONTEST THREAD of your youth day. Submit your picture by midnight on Monday, September 30th. Any pictures posted on shared post will not be included.
6- In your post, you must include your First Name & Last Initial, Age, and city/county where you reside.
7-We will post a list of names that will be included in the drawing 2 days before the drawing is to be held so that you may check to see that your child’s name was not over looked. If you notice your child missing you must contact us before 12:00 pm on October 3rd in order for your child to be added.
8- Winners will be selected at random and posted on Thursday, October 3rd by 8 pm.
9- Winners’ information will be confirmed before the prizes are awarded so Name, and age must be accurate.
