Thank you to all our volunteers for taking care of business this weekend at our Miss Buchanan US 12 garage sale!!! It was huge success because of all our volunteers that stepped up this weekend. We are so grateful to all those that donated items, stopped to shop and volunteered to run our garage sale. We also had volunteers stop to organize, cleanup, tent setup, tear down and put our building back together. It truly takes a village, a village of volunteers. This weekend would not have been as big of a success without the help of the following amazing individuals so thank you again; Angela and Rob Bair, Lisa and Jacob Weinberg, Deb Hildebrandt. Miss Buchanan herself, Justyce Cashier, Mr Buchanan, Chase Mitchell, 1st runner up Sydney Denison, Tammie Herrman, Maddie Hemphill, Tara and Eila Mabry, Cindy Claxton, Tammy Patrick, Scott and Sharon Boehm, Cora Weinberg, Coy Weinberg, Alyvia Baker, Preston Baker and Crystal Waggoner. We are so grateful to all of you!!! Although we made a dent in our building repair fund we are still in need of more funds to continue our ongoing repairs. Congratulations to Dr Cora Schau🐾❤️We couldn’t be prouder of you!! Cora was our Miss Buchanan 2018! Cora is graduate of Michigan State University 2022 and 2026 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Cora is also a very accomplished artist and photographer who has had her work displayed locally and nationally. She is also an avid hunter, farm girl at heart and the biggest animal lover ever. Cora married her college sweetheart Chris in June 2024. We’re pretty sure there is nothing Cora can’t do. She has repeatedly shown hard work and persistence pays off. Cora is an inspiration to all young men and women to set a goal, work really really hard and you too can accomplish your dreams. Congratulations to Cora and Chris and Welcome home!!👑🐾❤️🥰🫶

We are thrilled to announce that we will be welcoming Dr. Schau to our team in July!

Dr. Cora Schau graduated from Iowa State University in May 2026. During veterinary school, she worked with the Swine Medicine Education Center, contributing to research focused on swine health and production.

Prior to veterinary school, she attended Michigan State University. Dr. Schau was a member of the university’s rifle team and livestock judging team while also assisting with dairy industry research.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Schau enjoys helping on her family’s farm, gardening, photography, and painting. She shares her home with her husband and their two dogs, Dani and Willow.

Her professional interests include infectious disease and surgery. Dr. Schau looks forward to building relationships with clients and providing quality care for their animals.

We can’t wait to welcome Dr. Schau to our team and hope everyone will join us in giving her the warmest welcome!
