Join us this Thursday from 6-7:30 pm at the Historic Wilson Warehouse for an engaging presentation by Steve Davis, where you will gain valuable insights into pathways to growth and progress. This is an opportunity to learn from our historian about the James River, Kanawha Canal and the impact on Buchanan. You will have the opportunity to see the historic 1839 Freight Hoist System, known as the 'Big Wheel', a notable piece of local history that many of us were privileged to tour when we attended Buchanan Elementary School! You don’t want to miss this!

We are pleased to announce a busy week ahead. Please mark your calendars for several upcoming events. On Thursday, Steve Davis will present a program from 6-7:30 pm discussing the history and impact of the James River and Kanawha Canal on Buchanan. Additionally, on Saturday, The Spirit Trail at AFOG will host an event featuring music, a Food Truck, and speakers focusing on the canning industry, The James River, and the history of the AFOG building.
