Hot and breezy conditions are expected today, featuring south to southwest winds near 15 mph and high temperatures approaching record levels. Consequently, there will be an elevated risk for grass fires. Please stay hydrated and avoid activities that may spark a wildfire.

🚫 JACK COUNTY BURN BAN NOW IN EFFECT 🚫

At my request, County Judge Keith Umphress has issued a countywide burn ban for Jack County due to increasing wildfire danger.

Current conditions include a KBDI average of 547 and a high of 625, along with an increase grass fires across the county.

All outdoor burning is prohibited until further notice. Please help protect our communities, our volunteer firefighters, and our natural resources by complying with the burn ban.

Thank you for doing your part to keep Jack County safe.
