URGENT FOSTER NEEDED:
A sweet kitty named Callie was adopted from Bryson City Cat Sanctuary. Her owner is moving and will be staying temporarily in a home with cat allergies. She needs a temporary foster home for 2-6 months. All food, treats, litter, toys, bedding, and litter box will be supplied. Can anyone give sweet Callie Sue a safe home to land in for a few months? Her mama is leaving the state next Thursday (June 4th) to start her move to Indiana.

Kitten season is upon us which means we are in desperate need of foster homes to take in adult cats, weaned kittens, and especially moms with kittens. BCCS will provide all food, supplies, and medical care for the fosters as long as they have room in their hearts and homes!

Mother’s Day felt like the perfect time to finally share an accidental little secret 💕

Meet Momma and her SIX gorgeous babies: Beauford (male), Jessica (female), Jennifer (female), Clay (male), Sunshine (female), and Sunkist (female)

Momma actually came to us already in labor, and over the next few hours she welcomed six beautiful babies into the world. It feels impossible, but these little ones will be 4 weeks old on Tuesday!

We also have one tiny orphan girl with us named Lacie. Lacie was found alone in a creek and was sent to us by one of our fellow rescues. She’s been safe, loved, and growing ever since.

Momma has done an amazing job raising her babies, and we’re so excited to finally introduce them all to everyone 🐾

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing mothers out there like our little Momma! 🤍

We are incredibly grateful to Norfolk SPCA Adoption Center & Veterinary Clinics for stepping up in such a big way and taking in 17 cats last Wednesday, giving each of them a fresh start and a chance at the loving homes they’ve been waiting for. Many of these cats have been in our care for over a year, patiently hoping their turn would come, and thanks to this amazing act of kindness, it finally has.

We also want to give a huge thank you to Macon Moves Animal Care and Graham County Animal Refuge for helping with transport and setting this up. Getting these cats where they needed to go was no small task, and your help made all the difference.

Moments like this have a ripple effect in rescue. By transporting these cats out and into new opportunities, we’re able to open up foster homes here and make room for more cats in need — those still waiting for safety, care, and a second chance.

It truly takes a village in animal rescue. We are so thankful to be surrounded by people who show up, step in, and make things happen for animals who need us most. 🐾❤️

🐾 Still Waiting… Meet Gus & Nora 🐾
Gus and Nora have been with us at Bryson City Cat Sanctuary for over a year, patiently waiting for the forever home they deserve. These two aren’t just a pair—they are everything to each other. 💕
Gus is incredibly loving and known for giving the sweetest hugs. Despite a rough start—arriving with a severely damaged eye that had to be removed and being born without a tail—he hasn’t let anything dim his affectionate spirit. He’s pure love wrapped in fur.
Nora is absolutely beautiful and completely devoted to Gus. Their bond is unbreakable—wherever Gus goes, Nora is right there, loving him every step of the way.
Together, they enjoy playtime, mealtime (a favorite!), catnip adventures, and watching the world go by from a cozy window perch. 🐦🌿

At around six months old, these playful boys are full of energy, curiosity, and affection. Whether they’re chasing toys, wrestling with each other, or curling up for snuggles, they bring joy wherever they go. Their bond is truly special, and they thrive best as a duo.
Clarence and Jamie have been neutered and have received their first round of vaccines. They’re doing wonderfully in their foster home, where they’ve shown just how friendly and well-adjusted they are—happily interacting with visitors as well as their foster mom.

These sweet boys would make a fantastic addition to just about any family looking for loving, playful companions. They are available for indoor-only adoption, where they’ll stay safe and continue to flourish.

Pearl is a former feral momma who has done her job and is now ready to find a home of her very own. She’s a quiet, sweet girl who can be a bit skittish at first and will need a patient, understanding adopter who is willing to let her set the pace.

Right now, Pearl isn’t a snuggly lap cat—but she does enjoy gentle pets and light affection once she feels comfortable. With time, consistency, and love, we truly believe she has the potential to blossom into a cuddly little companion. 🌱

Pearl is a short, solidly built girl with the cutest little face, and her calm presence makes her a wonderful match for a quieter home. She’s looking for someone who will appreciate her for who she is now and who she may become.
