😄Stay until the end for a special blooper section! This interview took a silly turn!🤣

Meet Shay, owner of Pro-Star Plumbing and our Donor Spotlight! Pro-Star has supported our Chip in for Change Charity Golf Tournament and helped keep Hawthorn Heights running smoothly.

Recently, we had a mystery plumbing leak that we just couldn't seem to fix. After trying everything, the problem persisting for months, one call to Pro-Star Plumbing and the problem was solved in ONE DAY!

We are so thankful for businesses like Pro-Star that give back to local youth and our community. If you're looking for a reliable plumber, we highly recommend giving Shay a call! Pro-Star Plumbing LLC

Let's celebrate another amazing grant gifted to Hawthorn Heights! Grants like this make our mission possible and enable us to continue working closely with the amazing team at HIGHTS! Our weekly Substance Use Prevention Education group and on-site individual therapy sessions are part of the valuable work HIGHTS does with our youth and we are so grateful to the Nantahala Health Foundation for making this possible!😄👏🤝

Check out our submission for the Bryson City Scarecrow Festival! These scarecrows were made by our residents! We used donated clothing from our stash, pumpkins and straw from Jimmy's Produce, and some personal touches donated by our kids! We are especially impressed by the hand painted faces they made!

These will be officially photographed and open for voting next week! Check it out on the Bryson City, Swain County, Chamber of Commerce page and at their booth at Downtown Trick or Treat! If you like what these kids came up with, vote for us! 👻🎃

🎉Let's Celebrate!🎉

We’re excited to announce that Hawthorn Heights WNC has been awarded a $1,500 grant from the Swain County Community Foundation to support our Recreation and Enrichment Program!

From visits to zoos, museums, and community festivals, to bowling, fishing, hiking, and more, this funding will help our youth experience new things and make lasting memories. 💚 We are excited to share content from these adventures with our followers!

We’re grateful for this support as we continue providing a safe place for youth to live and grow.

This grant was made possible by the Swain County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.

Thank you for investing in our youth North Carolina Community Foundation 💙

The results are in! 🌈✨ Our community has officially chosen the Rainbow Tree- also known as our "Tree of Many Colors"- to honor the legendary Dolly Parton and her incredible work with youth. We are so grateful for your votes and love using your feedback to shape what we do here. We are looking forward to working with our local craft genius Adrienne Barckert to create something spectacular! You can view the finished product at the Cashier's Festival of Tress in late November.🌟
