Dedicated to character & continuous improvement. We help school districts & youth organizations find long lasting success! 🍊

CITRS is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, non-profit that partners with schools, out-of-school and other organizations to structure and implement effective character programs to enhance the lives of those we touch. Our goal is to help our partners build and implement a durable culture of character through consulting, innovative initiatives, and leadership and professional development programs. CITRS

also is a national advocate for character education and development. By teaming with select character experts we are able to provide our partners with the most creative and impactful solutions.

Brendan’s summer journey came to a close in New Hampshire. The trait he focused on here: wisdom.

Wisdom comes when we step back, gain perspective, and rise above the ordinary circumstances of everyday life to see the bigger picture. It’s about taking the long view rather than getting caught up in the moment.

Brendan’s summer journey brought him through Amsterdam’s airport, and travel has a way of testing character in ways scenic stops don’t. 🛬

The character trait that stood out here: patience. Long lines, layovers, and the unpredictability of getting to the next place all called for a steady, patient mindset. It was a good reminder that character shows up in the in-between moments too.

Brendan’s summer journey continues in Skagen, Denmark, where two seas meet at the northernmost tip of the country. 🌊

Two character traits stand out here: resilience and ingenuity. With water surrounding them and weather that turns in an instant, the Danish people have learned to adapt and keep going no matter what comes. That same spirit shows up in how creatively they build things, turning everyday challenges into clever solutions.

Character travels well ✈️

Brendan is finding character in every stop during his summer vacation, starting with the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, Norway.

Here, three traits stood out: humility, respect, and integrity. When they come together, tremendous dialogue becomes possible and that’s where peace begins.
