The Polo Field Focus Group met onsite last week to discuss ideas for improving the playground and other areas of this beloved community space. The group was convened by the Parks and Recreation Department to guide how the Township will use $275,000 in community improvement funds received from the Lower Merion School District in 2023. That funding is designated specifically for non-athletic enhancements, followed the Township’s full acquisition of the Polo Field and reflects a shared commitment to community use. Thank you to the resident volunteers who are working to ensure future improvements reflect the needs and values of neighborhood users of Polo.

For this meeting we require a quorum, i.e. at least 20 people, in order to take care of two organizational matters:

- Election of officers - every two years officers are elected for two year terms.

- Amendment to bylaws - required by the IRS for 501(c)(3) status.

These two items will be first on the agenda after which we can move on to other topics. Those who need to leave after the first 15-30 minutes are welcome to do so.

Tree Planting at the Polo Field

Sunday, November 10th at 11am

Hi, Neighbors!

We are planning to plant some trees at the Polo Field on Sunday, November 10th at 11am. The Lower Merion Conservancy is supplying the trees.

Volunteers are welcome! No experience is necessary. If you have them, please bring gloves and shovels. A wheelbarrow or two would be useful. Contributions of compost, manure, or mulch would also be greatly appreciated.

If you would be willing to lend a hand, please sign up here or send us an email at [email protected].
