Buck’s Ledge Community Forest, 701 acres, was purchased in 2023 for the Town of Woodstock with grants and over 200 private donations. The purpose is to balance healthy outdoor recreation on over 6 miles of hiking trails with protection of wildlife and nature. Fundraising is ongoing for Access for All, to build a 1-mile accessible trail that culminates in a scenic overlook and expands protection of access from the Woodstock Elementary School.
