Mama Haggis (DOB 5/7/2023) will be ready for her forever home on July 11th.

This sweet, gorgeous girl likes to relax near her people, while maintaining a little personal space. She always welcomes gentle strokes along her neck, flanks, and chest. The resulting deep purrrrr of contentment is surprising coming from such a petite girl. Quiet by nature, adorable little chirps are what you'll hear when Haggis has something to say. Mealtimes, or rather when mealtimes are late, is when Haggis is most animated. With chirps, winding through legs, and the occasional love nip, she will hurry you along. A calm, regal observer of the household, she will nonetheless take time out to play with her toy of choice, Larry the Lobster, and care properly for her nails, through vigorous use of her cat scratcher.

Upon adoption, Mama Haggis will be spayed and vaccinated. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She also has a pre-registered microchip.

Jetta (DOB 3/12) will be ready for her forever home in early July.

If there were a contest for "Most Likely to Turn Your Living Room Into a Racetrack," Jetta would be a strong contender. This sleek little house panther is packed with personality, confidence, and enough energy to keep life entertaining. She loves zooming through the house, chasing toys, investigating every corner, and making sure she's involved in whatever you're doing.

Jetta is fearless, curious, and always ready for her next adventure. She's the first to explore something new and believes every object is a potential toy. While she definitely enjoys being the center of attention, she's not all action and mischief. Once she's worn herself out, Jetta is happy to settle down near her favorite people for some well-earned cuddles and purrs.

With her striking black coat, expressive eyes, and larger-than-life personality, Jetta is sure to bring laughter, companionship, and plenty of excitement to her future family.

Upon adoption, Jetta will be spayed and vaccinated. She was born inside and her mother tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She also has a pre-registered microchip.

Mama Dana (DOB 3/27/2024) is ready for immediate adoption!

If you’re looking for a dog in a cat body, you’ve found your girl. This beautiful lady wants nothing more than to follow you around, wag her tail, and beg for food. She thrives on attention,and actually enjoys when young kids carry her around - attention is attention for her! She is not extremely high energy, but does love to window watch for any passing birds to chirp at, so she’d make a great office buddy if you work from home. She also is content to chill all day and then curl up next to you when you arrive back home. She’s a very easy going cat who just needs someone to call her own!

Outlaw Shouldn't Have Been Born.

That statement makes people uncomfortable. It makes us uncomfortable too.

But Outlaw's story is exactly why spay/terminate is considered the humane standard in animal welfare.

When Outlaw and his brother Bandit arrived at Six Kittens Rescue, they were severely malnourished, dehydrated, and suffering from diarrhea. Bandit passed away within hours of entering our care.

Outlaw survived.
Today, he's thriving.
But survival shouldn't depend on luck.

Every kitten born into an environment where there aren't enough resources, enough food, enough veterinary care, or enough foster homes faces an uphill battle from the moment they take their first breath. Some make it. Many do not.

When we accept a pregnant cat into our program, we ask a simple question:
Is she lactating or in active labor?
If the answer is no, we spay her.

Not because we don't love kittens. We do. Our lives revolve around them.
We do it because we see what happens when there are more kittens than resources.
If we are already struggling to feed one underweight mother cat, how are we going to adequately care for her and 4, 6, or 8 newborns? What happens five months later when those kittens are old enough to start having kittens of their own?

The math is brutal. The suffering is real.

Spay/terminate prevents:
🐾 Neonatal deaths from starvation and disease
🐾 Maternal health complications
🐾 Overcrowded shelters and rescues
🐾 Future litters born into the same cycle of neglect and scarcity

Animal welfare organizations, shelter medicine veterinarians, and rescue professionals overwhelmingly support spay/abort because it prevents suffering before it starts.

The most humane outcome is not always the most emotionally comfortable one.
Bandit died because there were already too many kittens and not enough resources long before he ever arrived at our door.

The kindest thing we can do for the next Bandit is make sure he never has to fight that battle in the first place.

Spay every female cat you can. Even if you think she's pregnant. Especially if you think she's pregnant.

Prevention saves more lives than any rescue ever will. 💛

PENDING ADOPTION

Margarita (DOB 3/17) will be ready for her forever home on June 17th.

Like her beverage namesake, Margarita might come across as just a little bit salty at first…but within a sip - err, moment - or two, her true sweetness shines through.

While initially slightly timid and shy, Margarita quickly adapts to new environments, people, and adult cats. She adores playing with crinkle toys and springs, but her favorite pastimes are wrestling with her brother, Taco Tuesday, attacking (but not so much playing IN) her cat tunnel, and frolicking in a freshly rinsed shower. When apart for longer than a few minutes, she greets her foster family with nose taps and head rubs, and she loves having her ears rubbed and her tummy scratched.

Upon adoption, Margarita will be spayed and vaccinated. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She also has a pre-registered microchip.
