🎉 CONGRATS, BUSTER! 🎉 Buster aka Bubz is officially adopted!!! He made the flight from TX to MA thanks to our flight nanny Becky. He is going to live with two other of our adopted chis, so we KNOW he's getting an amazing home. Bubz was an absolute JOY to foster, but we are glad that he landed an incredible family where he will be pampered like the king he is. We love you, Bubz! She was with her owners her whole life, until they were evicted from their property and couldn't take their pets with them. Panda has done well in foster, but it's time to get her forever home! 🎉 CONGRATS, HABANERO! 🎉 This precious chi came to us from a hoarding situation, where she was totally in her own mind with fear. She fled from strangers and new situations, and she took months to finally be behaviorally well enough for adoption. She's not 100% yet, but thankfully her new family is committed to working with her as long as it takes!

Habanero made the flight from Texas to Colorado, where she is already settling in to her new life! We want to give a huge shout-out to everyone who volunteered to be a part of this amazing happy ending: foster mom Sue, airport transport Becky, transport coordinators Kellye and Andria, adopter Ingerid, flight angel Jillian, flight coordinators Elaine, Rini and Thomas, our corporate charity partners Southwest Airlines, and our AMAZING transport partners SWATT. It takes a dang village, y'all! 🎉

🎉 CONGRATS, LATTE! 🎉 Our longest term resident has finally gotten his forever home!!!! He made the trip from Texas to Massachusetts, to meet this INCREDIBLE family. Make sure you swipe/scroll to see just how amazing the kiddos are with him! 🥰 Latte is in absolute heaven right now, and it's thanks in large part to Moxie Texas Real Estate who sponsored his adoption fee months ago. We want to give a shout-out to foster mom Sue and foster dad Tom, who each got to foster Latte while in our program. They provided all the love and care until Latte could get this happy ever after.

Latte and 20+ others were found during a house fire. Firefighters showed up to put out a fire called in by a good Samaritan that happened while the owners were away, and they stumbled upon over 20 little dogs "cruelly confined" in crates filled with their own faces. As awful as the house fire was, it at least caused authorities to find out about their living situation. All got out safely and the shelter seized ownership, which is where we came into play. Our fosters did a great job rehabilitating the group to where they could be fabulous family companions. I mean....just look at Latte! This is what it's all about!

We love this so much!! Enjoy your new life, Latte!! 🎉

🍁ICYMI🍁 Meet 💛GENE SIMMONS💛. This adorable senior poodle was roaming the streets for weeks! animal control was finally able to catch him near a homeless encampment. He was matted to the skin and covered in thorns and stickers, but now he's all cleaned up, shaved down, and in our foster home.

So far, we know he's great with dogs, cats, and kids. He doesn't seem to be a barker, and he walks well on a leash. Gene is very thin with a healthy appetite, and has a really sweet and affectionate personality. And, you'll not believe me but, he gets very happy when you play Tears for Fears. 🤷 Make of that what you will.

He got his bloodwork and vaccines done, then he gets his neuter Monday. Then, he can go up for adoption!!! Isn't he precious?!

ANDDDDDD, guess what!! Thanks to an amazing donor, his adoption fee has been paid for! Can he get any better?!

If you want to support Gene, he needs some Stella and Chewys dehydrated patties off our Amazon or Chewy wish lists. the dehydrated food sticks to the spit on his tongue for easy feeding. Wet food just get slopped and flopped everywhere!!

Who put the good juju on our rescue? 🔮 Whoever it was, THANK YOU! Almost our entire program has pending adoptions... Even our long time residents AND our hospice kiddo! I am so grateful for each and every share, every sponsored adoption fee, and every person who supports our little-rescue-that-could. 🥰 We cannot change the world, but we damn sure can change the world for these little oldies who need a safe place to land. Ever wonder what a jawless dog does with their tongue when they sleep? Whatever it wants 🤣 Resident pup, Chuey, who welcomes all the new fosters at some point, is a foster fail from 2019. He ripped his jaw off after his owners left him behind in an apartment after they moved out, and he was desperate to get out. In his panic of clawing and biting at the front door, he ripped it off. 😭

But now, he's our bestest boy and the king of the house after 🧡🍁 Mama Nutmeg 🍁🧡 and 👑 Lady O 👑🌈 have both passed. He's the sweetest little guy who loves showing the foster dogs the ropes.

Anyway. Here he is to get some love and show off that tongue! Happy Sunday! 💛

Well, poor 💛Chomp💛 is back up for adoption. 😭 He had (what we thought was) an awesome home lined up, who was willing to work with Chomp and his timidity, but we just found out they are abruptly backing out. Poor little guy!!! He's come so far, has finally beefed up, and even got his heartworm treatment, and now we are back to square one.

Oh, Chomp! We KNOW the right family is out there for you! Hang in there little man! 💛
