An important message from our Worthy Matron....
Howdy, Sisters and Brothers!
I hope and pray that each of you are staying warm and cozy in your homes. For those of you who have to get out in this weather, I pray for your safety.
According to today's forecast... "the weather conditions are going downhill this evening and night as ice and snow accumulates in the Brazos Valley. The next round of freezing rain and sleet is expected to develop across the area, as early as late evening/
Heavy mixed precipitation is expected, with possible snow accumulations of 2 inches to 6 inches and maybe even 7 inches to 8 inches in some areas. Strong winds will lead to blowing and drifting snow, reducing visibility to less than one mile at times. Wind chill factors below zero are expected by Sunday night, continuing Monday and Tuesday.
IMPACT: Travel will be dangerous if not impossible late this evening into Monday. Hazardous conditions will persist for several days. Cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken".
With this being said, Bryan Chapter will not hold its February stated meeting tomorrow.
DGM Heather checked with her District DGM regarding this historic situation, as to whether or not I could cancel our meeting due to this major winter storm. The DDGM did say that I could have the authority to cancel our meeting. Thank you, Heather, for checking for us.
Please stay home during this time, unless you are required to do so. You all are so very important to all of your family and friends, including your Star family. Your health and safety is of utmost concern.
