Thank you dear brothers and sisters from Lockport Mennonite Church who came and visited us this week and spent an hour with us giving us a chance to present and give a tour of the building. Thank you so much also for blessing us with snacks and towels, and other goodies!

Thank you Kent R. Hardy for inviting me to present at the Kiwanis Club of Bryan this past Wednesday. We are so grateful for your love, hospitality and care that you showed and continue to show through the year! Thank you. It was a privilege to come and present again and meet all you wonderful folks and congratulations on being the best Kiwanis club in Ohio!!!

The guest speaker at the Kiwanis Club of Bryan's weekly meeting was Pheba Banerjee-Sam, the director of the Sanctuary, a homeless shelter here in Bryan. Mrs. Sam spoke with the group about recent renovations at the facility as well as their recent expansion. The goals at the Sanctuary for their clients are to help them to become self-sufficient and to work to get them off welfare and into jobs. They help them save the requisite amount of money needed to find an apartment. Their desire is to help people get their lives in balance. The Sanctuary believes that the cornerstone to a successful life is a valid living relationship with our Lord and Savior. Often you ask us that when our guests leave, do they ever give back? And we mentioned that once in a while people come and bring a thing or two. When we had put our request for coffee last time, this family who were with us couple of years back now living couple of hours south of us, sent a whole bunch of small boxes of coffee via delivery 📦… we didn’t know then until they called and swung by many days later and told us that it was from them. Thank you Jordan and Cassidy for your love and care!

Save the date! On October 4th, we will be assembling our Lutheran World Relief school kits, collecting socks for Sanctuary Homeless Shelter , and eating Bavarian Pretzels and enjoying root beer after worship at Trinity! All ages welcomed and invited.
