Note that this is a fairly major commitment on the kid's part (as well as the parent). This is a 2 year program, where the kids who participate end up getting well over $1000 in equipment. Think of it like a FFA or 4H project.

Note that we are primarily looking for the interest level of THE KIDS. Parents who are pushing their kids into this are not a good idea. Full information can be found at https://bvbeeks.org/programs/youth-scholarship/

•Board Elections - Will select our open board positions. Board positions are a two-year term, and three positions will be up for election at the December meeting and will begin their 2024 & 2025 term this coming January.

•🥘Potluck - club will provide Ham, paper goods, and eating utensils. Everyone please bring side dishes or dessert.

•🎁Gift exchange - please bring a wrapped gift that you would love to go home with...~$25 range. Items to consider: your favorite or best beekeeping, handy, can't live without item, gift cards, etc.

Either one per person or one per family, and of course participation in gift exchange is optional.

Please note: Since this is a family party, a kind reminder that our youth are included in the gift exchange, please refrain from including any items with alcohol content in your exchange gifts.

Howdy All!

Just want to keep you informed and let you know Lynne Jones will be speaking at our club monthly meeting October 17th On Selling & Bottling Honey Laws. I will send out an event notification later this month.

Lynne is also a speaker at our 2023 Bee School this Saturday. She will be doing the same presentation on Selling & Bottling Honey Laws.

Honey harvest for 2023 is in the books. We actually got a little more than we did last year (825lbs). We hired some really good helpers and it made it MUCH easier on us old beekeepers!
