The Bryan Area Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all citizens of our area now and for generations to come.

The Bryan Area Foundation and its affiliate Foundations, Edon, Montpelier and Millcreek-West Unity, are dedicated to improving and enriching life in Williams County by connecting people, good ideas, real needs and charitable resources. 👛Will your Northwest Ohio nonprofit be the next to get a Power in the Purse (PIP) women's giving circle grant? Affiliated with the Bryan Area Foundation, PIP and its members and sponsors have awarded more than $274,000 in grants to 51 local nonprofit projects, enabling them to serve more residents in our area. If you would like to join this group of women and see the impact collective giving can make, please attend the fourth quarterly meeting on Tuesday, October 27.

Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. for networking, with the business portion from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Zazarac's Bar & Eatery, 116 West High Street, Bryan. Come early, grab a bite and a drink, and see how PIP makes a difference in our community! 💵💲

🏈🎉 You came, cheered, voted, and created community magic! Thank you for joining the Bryan Area Foundation at the Bryan High School Homecoming Game Night last week! Your votes helped the Bryan Youth Activities Fund receive a $500 grant, giving more children the opportunity to participate in sports like baseball, soccer, softball, football, swimming, and more! We appreciate all your participation and look forward to “seeing” you and your new “shades”! 💛🐻🏆 😎

The Edon Area Foundation recently awarded a total of $31,100 in grants, which will be used for the following:

1. $2,500 to 4-H Camp Palmer to modernize the adventure-based zipline equipment.
2. $6,500 to Edon Area Ministerial Association to support the Edon Food Pantry, which serves families experiencing food insecurity.
3. $5,000 to Edon Masonic Lodge #474 for renovation of the building.
4. $2,100 to Edon Northwest Schools Music Department to purchase a new digital piano.
5. $5,000 to Edon Summer Ball League to enhance existing scoreboard technology and purchase two softball pitching mounds.
6. $5,000 to LifeWise Edon Northwest for a shuttle upgrade to transport participating youth.
7. $5,000 to Wellness Huddle FarmStop to convert an underutilized area into a flexible community viewing, education, and wellness space.

All candidates have until Tuesday, December 15, to submit their application and not “bail” on this opportunity!

Congratulations to Addison Arnold on receiving the first-ever Welcome Home Scholarship, presented to her tonight at the Bryan High School Homecoming football game.

Established by the Bryan High School Class of 2025, particularly class officers Dominic Malanga and Katherine Thormeier, using the remaining $11,000 in class funds not spent on a trip to Chicago because of COVID-19, the scholarship encourages fellow Bryan High School graduates who have gone on to further their education outside of Williams County to consider returning to the county to live, work, serve, and play upon graduating from an accredited college, university, or trade school. Welcome Home Scholarship recipients will receive up to $10,000 to repay federal student loan debt in quarterly installments for one year after returning to Williams County.

Addison, a 2022 Bryan High School graduate and recent Bowling Green State University graduate, moved back to Bryan, Ohio, to work as a Human Resources Assistant at Bard Manufacturing.

🎄Mark your calendar for a "tree-mendous" upcoming event!

The Festival of Trees 2026 will once again be taking place at the historic Williams County Courthouse. This fundraising event runs from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27, and Saturday, November 28. It returns Thursday, December 3, to Friday, December 4, and ends Saturday, December 5. Visitors can view beautifully decorated trees, wreaths, and holiday décor created by talented, local individuals.

And new this year! All attendees will receive one free ticket for a chance to win one of those items. Guests can also bid on any holiday item or purchase additional raffle tickets for more chances to take home their favorite. All proceeds support funds held by the Bryan Area Foundation that enhance the community for its residents.

The Montpelier Area Foundation recently established a continuing education scholarship for residents who live and work in Montpelier, Ohio!
