The Youth Elevation Initiative is an organization that originally started in Uganda, to help ease period poverty for the young women in the Kabale District. The Kabale District is among the poorest in the country and women face many challenges to acquire the essential supplies necessary to alleviate the natural process of menstruation. The Youth Elevation Initiative in Uganda began mobilizing in 2

021 in collaboration with local schools, to collect and distribute enough supplies to hand to as many young women as possible. Once collected, the schools are given the task to hand each woman a 3-month supply package that consists of sanitary pads, detergent, body soap, and pain medication such as Tylenol and ibuprofen. Other ways in which the organization helps women is in providing information about menstruation in classrooms and answering any questions that students may have about the cycle process. The newly formed Texas chapter is located in Bryan, Texas and our mission is to collect donations to ship them to Uganda. The donations that we accept are the same as mentioned above, plus we also take monetary donations to help with the shipping costs as well as the costs for supplies, such as paper and printer ink. Howdy!

Would you like to perform a song, poem or other literary work in your native language? Would you like to practice that new language you have been learning in a calm and welcoming environment? If so, you should share your talent with other Aggies at the International Language Lounge!

The annual International Language Lounge is hosted by Texas A&M University's department of International Student & Scholar Services as part of International Education Week. It is a chance for the multilingual members of the Aggie community to come together and explore the beauty of languages through song, literary work and other art forms. Refreshments will be provided.

We are currently looking for more presenters to share their talents at the International Language Lounge on November 19th. If you are interested at all, please fill out our International Language Lounge Sign-Up. In this form, you will be asked to provide more details on how you will be sharing a language performance or presentation at this event. The form will also provide follow-up instructions from the ISSS team to support you before the event.

Please donate your unwanted clothes to nursing homes before you donate to goodwill. Some folks don’t have family members who provide clothing and they dont have money or physical abilities to buy their own clothing. It’s so sad helping dress people in the same 3 outfits that have rips and holes, missing buttons in them. send them to some one who could use them and not have to wear the same things over and over until they are worn. COPY AND PASTE. KEEP IT GOING❣️🤲🏻☺️
