On Saturday, a great Blitz Day effort by members and friends of Lake View Church framed the house in preparation for the arrival of trusses for the roof in the next weeks. Ladies of the church provided lunch for the crew. Many thanks to all who gave of their time and talents to move our 2025 Duane Knisely Memorial Build along.

A great crew from Altenloh, Brinck and Co. were on the Stryker site on Thursday and completed the subfloor in preparation for next weekend's Blitz Day.

The 2025 Mason Crew finished laying block for the foundation today on the Habitat for Humanity of Williams County Duane Knisely Memorial Build in Stryker. Many thanks to all who helped at the worksite and to the First Lutheran Church in Stryker for providing lunch.

Great preparation progress was made Wednesday on the 2025 Habitat for Humanity Duane Knisely Memorial Build worksite in Stryker! The site was excavated and the footers poured in a single day by a terrific crew from Sines Excavating, Becker and Scrivens, Mark It Done and Habitat volunteers. Soon, the foundation will be laid and the subfloor installed so construction can begin.

The 2025 Habitat for Humanity of Williams County got underway on Saturday morning, April 19, with groundbreaking at 404 Gray Street in Stryker. This year's build is the Duane Knisely Memorial Build, in honor of and memory of Duane's long-time commitment to and leadership in Habitat for Humanity here in Williams County. Members of our partner family, the Villanuevas, and of the Knisely family along with Stryker officials, volunteers, and Habitat board members braved the light rain to be part of this new beginning.

Excavation should begin next week and the building process should continue through the summer. We welcome both experienced and new volunteers! Come join us and catch Habititis!

On Saturday, the faithful crew from the Lockport Mennonite Church in Stryker installed all of the drywall for the house at the corner of Butler and Cherry streets in Bryan. A dedicated team from Eastland Baptist Church provided an abundant feast for lunch. We are so thankful to both churches for their partnership ministries with Habitat for Humanity of Williams County.

The Lick Creek Church of the Brethren, a long-time supporter of Habitat for Humanity of Williams County, is holding its annual Ice Cream Social Supper on Thursday, July 18 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. We are blessed to have been designated to receive 50% of the profits from this wonderful event. Come out and support the Lick Creek Church of the Brethren and share in food and fellowship at this wonderful event.

Despite the intense heat last Thursday and Friday, Tom Smith and his terrific TWS Concrete crew - Tom Smith, Blake Smith, Lane Sheets, and Easton Kime - completed the front and side steps, sidewalk and driveway apron on Monday.
