🔥 OHIO BURN RESTRICTIONS BEGIN OCTOBER 1 🔥

As a reminder to our residents, Ohio’s seasonal open-burning restrictions begin October 1 and continue through November 30. Outside municipal corporations, Ohio law prohibits burning wood, brush, weeds, grass, or rubbish in the open air between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. during these months.

Within the City of Delphos, residents must also follow City Ordinance 1511.05:

🔥 Open burning cannot create a hazardous or objectionable situation.
🔥 Certain types of burns, including bonfires and recognized land-management burns, require a permit.
🔥 Fires must be kept the required distance from structures and combustible materials.
🔥 Recreational fires must be at least 25 feet from structures or combustible materials.
🔥 Portable outdoor fireplaces must be at least 15 feet away, except when used at one- or two-family dwellings.
🔥 All fires must be constantly attended until completely extinguished.
🔥 A fire extinguisher or other approved extinguishing equipment must be immediately available.

The Fire Department may require a fire to be extinguished if it becomes hazardous or creates an objectionable situation.

Fountain City Fandemonium Special Guests Spotlight
Calling all Autobots! This year's Fountain City Fandemonium will have a Transformers theme with special guests from Optimus Is Here and Adams Entertain Ment. Make sure to roll out to Fandemonium on Saturday, September 26th from 10am to 3pm at Bryan Main Library.

Come check out the world’s first and only fan-built replica of the Optimus Prime® truck. An incredibly executed copy of the unique big-rig first unveiled in Transformers: Age of Extinction! Assembled with legal permission from Hasbro, this project was led by an ordinary dad for the purpose of inspiring his son. Currently this is the only planned visit from Optimus in our region for the entire year. And you are looking at the only fanbuilt AOE replica of Optimus Prime in the world. The chances of ever seeing Optimus Prime again are slim. So don’t miss your chance to get up close with what could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Please note, Optimus will be surrounded by cones and chain. No one will be permitted inside or on the truck. You are welcome to take pictures of the Optimus Prime® truck outside of the blocked off area.

After viewing the Optimus Prime® truck, head inside the library to meet Optimus Prime brought by ADAMS Entertainment & Photography! Optimus will be stationed upstairs and will be available for photos.

9/11/2001 Bryan Fire Department was testing hose in front of the old station. 9/11/2026 we completed our annual hose testing behind the new station. Never forget.

This week we are highlighting our annual Educator Boot Camp!!

To start us off on Monday they earned their Community Safety & Service badge!
Educators started the 2026 WEDCO Educator Bootcamp at the WEDCO office in Bryan before diving straight into the heart of public service.
From the Sheriff’s Office, EMS, and Fire Department (Bryan), participants explored how first responders protect, respond, and serve Williams County every day.
Hands-on conversations highlighted real-world skills, training pathways, and the teamwork it takes to keep a community safe.
💡 Education takeaway: Careers in public safety are built on leadership, communication, and fast decision-making—skills students can start building now.
