🍂 **Hello, Facebook friends!** 🍂

Things are getting a little chillier here on **Tenney Way**, and we’re getting ready for the colder months ahead! 🧣❄️

We’re currently looking for donations of some **basic life essentials** for our guests. We are especially low on:

🧴 Shampoo
🧼 Body wash
🛁 Towels

And as we head into **November**, we’ll be putting the call out for those warm-and-cozy winter essentials:

🧥 Warm winter coats
🧦 Socks
🧤 Gloves & Hats

So, if you’re doing a little **Fall cleaning, decluttering, or “What am I going to do with all this stuff?” organizing** 😉 and have any of these items to share, we would be incredibly grateful!

Just reach out to us and we can arrange a drop-off here at our location. ❤️

⛳️ **WHAT A DAY! 💚**

A HUGE thank you to all of our amazing **sponsors, golfers, supporters, volunteers, and friends** who helped make our **5th Annual Gathering on the Green** on August 27th, one of our most fun and successful tournaments yet! 🎉

And, of course, a very special thank you to the **Brunswick Golf Club** for helping us create such a fantastic day on the course! ⛳️

While we didn’t quite reach our $50,000 fundraising goal, we came **oh-so-close**—and we are incredibly grateful for every dollar raised and every person who helped make it happen. 💚

But Gathering on the Green is about so much more than raising money. It’s about bringing people together, building community, making new friends, reconnecting with old ones, and, of course, a little **friendly competition** along the way! 😂🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

There was plenty of laughter, some impressive shots, some *questionable* shots, a few mulligans (okay…maybe more than a few 😉), and a whole lot of support for **The Gathering Place**.

Putting this tournament together takes a LOT of work throughout the year, but days like this remind us exactly why we do it. The funds raised help TGP continue providing basic necessities, emergency assistance, and a safe, welcoming place for our neighbors who need a little extra support.

**To everyone who sponsored, played, donated, volunteered, cheered us on, bought a raffle ticket, took a mulligan, or simply showed up with a smile—THANK YOU!** ❤️

We are so grateful for the incredible Brunswick community and everyone who continues to believe in and support The Gathering Place.

**🍂 Hello, generous Brunswickians! 🍂**

As Fall approaches us, Yes… I said **FALL!** ☺️ And while we’re still enjoying summer, we’re already thinking ahead to the colder months and making sure our guests at **The Gathering Place** have what they need to stay warm.

We’re currently looking for donations of:

🛏️ **Clean sleeping bags**
🧣 **Blankets in good, usable condition**

If you have any that you’re no longer using, we would be incredibly grateful for your donation. These simple items can make a **big difference** to someone who is facing a difficult time and trying to stay warm and safe.

📍 Donations can be dropped off at **The Gathering Place, 5 Tenney Way, Brunswick. We are open Monday-Friday from 8:30am-3pm.

For the past four years, The Gathering Place has proudly hosted our annual **Gathering on the Green** golf tournament. We are excited to celebrate our **5th annual Gathering on the Green** on **Thursday, August 27**, at the Brunswick Golf Club.

Personally, this has become one of my favorite events each year. It is inspiring to see returning teams come together to support our mission, along with the incredible generosity of our sponsors who make this event such a success. Their continued commitment has helped us grow the tournament year after year.

This year, our goal is to raise **$50,000** to support the vital services we provide to our guests. Every dollar raised makes a meaningful difference, helping us provide, essential resources, and compassionate support to those in our community who need it most.

We are seeking more sponsorships to help us reach our goal this year! If you would like to be a sponsor we have several differnt levels that are listed below or you can call us at 207-729-0288 for a marketing packet.

🥰 Make a difference in your Community 😍

Right now, there are people in our community who are struggling with homelessness, food insecurity, isolation, and other challenges. They are our neighbors, friends, and fellow community members, and they deserve to be seen, valued, and supported.

At The Gathering Place, we believe that a friendly conversation, and a compassionate heart can make all the difference. Every day, our volunteers help create a welcoming space where people can find not only essential resources but also dignity, connection, and hope.

We are looking for caring individuals who want to make a meaningful impact by volunteering with our guests. Whether you can give a few hours a week or a few hours a month, your time can change someone's day—and perhaps even their life. Currently, we have an opening for a volunteer shift on Wednesday mornings from 8:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This opportunity can be either a weekly commitment or every other Wednesday, depending on your availability.

We are also looking for volunteer substitutes to help fill in when needed. Volunteering is a wonderful way to become involved, you can pick and choose the shifts you want, make a meaningful impact, and experience firsthand the sense of community that makes The Gathering Place so special. Many of our volunteers find that they quickly develop a deep connection to both the mission and the guests we serve.

No special skills are required. Just a willingness to listen, care, and serve with kindness.

If you've ever wondered how you can help those experiencing homelessness or hardship in our community, this is your opportunity.

⛳️ Join Us for Our Annual Golf Tournament! ⛳️

We’re excited to announce our 5th annual Gathering on the Green golf tournament fundraiser benefiting The Gathering Place and the important work we do to support individuals in our community experiencing homelessness and hardship.

Every swing, sponsorship, and donation helps provide essential resources, support services, and hope to those who need it most. This winter, there were many days when we served more than 100 individuals in a single day!

Hello wonderful TGP friends,

We’re reaching out with a heartfelt request for a few much-needed donations. Right now, we are especially in need of bath towels, in good condition, shampoo and body wash so our guests can comfortably shower and feel cared for.

I’ll also be resharing our wish list, as there are always everyday essentials we go through quickly. With rising costs, items like coffee, sugar, and creamer are especially helpful. To give a sense of scale, we serve upwards of 45,000 cups of coffee each year—and have welcomed more than 100 guests in a single day.

Any support you can offer truly makes a difference in helping us continue this work. Thank you for being such an important part of our community.
