Next Saturday, October 24, Brunswick is turning into a ghost-hunting adventure! The Brunswick Boo Trail will take families from Brunswick Crossing to Downtown Brunswick in search of some friendly little ghosts hiding along the way.

Join us for the Brunswick Boo Trail, a family-friendly ghost scavenger hunt that takes you from Brunswick Crossing to Downtown Brunswick in search of some friendly ghosts hiding along the way!

Follow the trail, find a ghost, and bring it to the Boo Crew to claim your surprise! You might even find a special ghost with a prize from one of our downtown businesses or a $25 Downtown Brunswick Gift Card!

🍬 Each family can collect up to 3 ghosts.

Keep your eyes open for festive Halloween wreaths in participating downtown business windows, too!

Frederick County has openings on several commissions and advisory boards, and they're looking for community members with a variety of backgrounds and experiences!

Current opportunities include:

🔹 Immigrant Affairs Commission – Openings for immigrant community members, students, an immigration law attorney, and representatives from business and faith-based organizations.

🔹 Human Relations Commission – Several openings for general members.

🔹 Scott Key Center Advisory Board – Two openings for members with awareness of developmental disabilities.

Get your costumes ready for a full afternoon and evening of spooktacular family fun in Downtown Brunswick on Saturday, October 24, 2026! From ghost hunting along the Valley Trail to carnival games in the heart of downtown, there’s something terrifyingly fun for goblins and ghouls of all ages.

EVENT SCHEDULE
Part 1: 👻 Brunswick Boo Trail Ghost Hunt
Kick off the afternoon with spooky trail adventures! Hunt for hidden spirits and win prizes along the Valley Trail, courtesy of the Economic Development Commission (EDC).
Location: Valley Trail (between West End Park & Crums Hollow Dr.)
Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Part 2: 🍬🎃 Halloween Carnival & Square Corner Party
As the sun sets, head downtown for an evening filled with carnival games, music, and festive community fun!
Location: Square Corner Park (1 E. Potomac St.)

Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Highlights include:
• Trunk‑or‑Treat – Treats provided by New Hope United Methodist Church
• DJ Music – Spooktacular tunes to keep you moving
• Haunted House & Hay Rides – A ghost-filled hayride with BARC or brave the City’s haunted house
• Costume Contest – Show off your best look for the City of Brunswick judges
• Carnival & Tunnel of Terror – Spooky games and a daring haunted tunnel presented by Brunswick Main Street

Carnival games are just $1 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5. All proceeds directly support Brunswick Main Street and help keep our downtown vibrant.

🚂 What a weekend in Brunswick! ❤️

We had such a great time being part of Railroad Days and celebrating the history, community, and railroad roots that make Brunswick so special!

From seeing so many familiar faces to welcoming visitors downtown, we loved watching our community come together for one of Brunswick’s favorite traditions. And, of course, we loved getting to be right in the middle of it all!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who worked behind the scenes, participated, volunteered, visited, shopped, ate, explored, and helped make the weekend such a success.

We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🚂❤️
