It’s Friday, which means it’s Farmers Market day in Brunswick! It's also Brunswick Live, which means many of the downtown businesses are open late, and that means there are lots of reasons to spend time downtown.

There’s a little chance of rain during the first hour of the market, but that’s not stopping us. We’ll be open rain or shine, with plenty of good reasons to make the trip.

Today we’re welcoming , a new-to-us food truck making their Brunswick debut, and Nick Carras will be back with live music to help kick off your weekend.

And families, don’t forget about Farm to School Frederick’s FREE Potato Person activity for kids! Stop by the market and let the little ones get creative with their very own potato person.

When our community needs us, we’re there. 💚
The Veggie Van is meeting families where they are, bringing fresh, locally grown food to neighborhoods where access to healthy food can be a challenge.

Thank you to the Frederick News Post for sharing this important story about SNAP, food access, and the work happening right here in Frederick County.

Almost 1,000 people in Frederick County have lost access to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program since November 2025, according to a Maryland Department of Human Services dashboard last updated Aug.

Join us on Friday, October 16, 2026, for Frederick County 4-H's FIRST-EVER Youth Fall Farm Tour—a full day of behind-the-scenes experiences at FOUR local agricultural operations!

4-H Youth will get an inside look at the creative ways local farmers and agricultural businesses are turning what they grow and produce into new products, businesses, experiences, and opportunities. And they’ll hear directly from local producers—including several who were once 4-H'ers themselves!

What will youth discover?
💡 How farmers are finding new ways to add value to their products
🚜 The businesses and careers that exist beyond traditional production agriculture
🍎 How products make the journey from farm to table
🤝 What it takes to build a successful agricultural enterprise
🌾 How local producers are adapting, innovating, and creating new opportunities
🎯 Ideas they can take home and apply to their own projects, businesses, or future careers

Whether they’re interested in production agriculture, entrepreneurship, food systems, agritourism, business, or simply want to see what’s happening behind the scenes in Frederick County agriculture, this is a chance to explore possibilities they may not otherwise get to see.
