Every fiscal year, the City of Brunswick partners with local nonprofit organizations through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to support essential services to low- to moderate -income populations.
The Department of Neighborhood and Community Services would like to recognize and highlight the contributions of Foster Love Ministries who has successfully met their performance objectives and requirements of the program. This organization was awarded $7,670 to assist with recruitment and training for foster parents so they can provide temporary care to children in need, while the children's parents can work on rebuilding the family unit. Foster Love Ministries has also served families through Wrap-Around (WRAP) services, which provides support for families in crisis and to vulnerable children who are in unsafe environments or circumstances. This agency has served over 250 participants.
