INSPIRATION ALERT! While many students are relaxing over the summer, a group of Brunswick High School students is using their days off to plan! Ellie Kunesh, Ian Boone, and Emma Karim are the first students in Northeast Ohio to officially join the Blood Cancer United Student Visionaries of the Year 2027 campaign! Throughout the summer, they are forming their team and finding innovative ways to raise money to fund a cure for blood cancer.

Brunswick High School has a proud tradition of participating in this philanthropic initiative! This year, the students have the opportunity to be part of a student-led group, Brunswick For a Brighter Future, aiming to raise $500,000 over five years. What an AMAZING accomplishment!

Each student involved in this initiative has their own personal reason for participating, and we cannot wait to share their stories with you! While there is a fundraising element to this campaign, it is so much BIGGER than just raising money! For the last five years, it has been a way to unite the community, give students the opportunity to lead, and provide a rich mentoring experience.

INSPIRATION ALERT! 13 Brunswick High School students raised $47,812 for Blood Cancer United in just 7 weeks! Under the leadership of student leaders Callie Toney and Natalia Nimylowycz, this campaign highlights the impact our students can make. The team organized fun events such as skate nights and chuck-a-duck, bringing our whole community together in support of this important cause. Congratulations to everyone involved! Thank you so much to everyone who donated money, bought food at our Panda Express and Chipotle dine to donate night, came to Skate Night or Family Bingo Night...you were a part of something great. You helped us raise $1.9 million dollars in Northeast Ohio!! ❤️

39 High School Teams across Northeast Ohio raised $1.9 MILLION dollars in 7 weeks for Blood Cancer United. This money goes to research, advocacy, and patient support.
