This week BNAM staff attended the 2026 Maine Archives & Museums Annual Conference at the University of Maine at Augusta. This year’s conference “Revolutionary Resilience; 250 & Beyond” explored a variety of topics that our state’s museums, libraries, historical societies and archives must navigate.

During the conference our staff also toured the Maine State Archives and had a sneak peak at the Maine State Museum’s refurbishment and new exhibits, opening later this month to the public.

BNAM has a commitment to educating staff and volunteers on current museum and non-profit institutional issues through a number of related associations that encourage networking and peer conversations.
