Happy Month!
In Maine, free public access to trails is one of our greatest shared assets.
Trails provide opportunities for recreation, exercise, wildlife observation, and quiet reflection. They support local economies by attracting visitors, strengthening community connections, and contributing to both physical and mental well-being. 💚
Here in the midcoast, we’re fortunate to have an incredible network of public trails, and this year has brought exciting additions to BTLT’s list, like the new trail at Hideaway Farm in Topsham, and the ADA-accessible trail at Woodward Point Preserve in Brunswick.
Looking for your next outdoor adventure? Check out our trail page, the Get Active Southern Midcoast Guide, Maine Trail Finder , or Maine Hikes!
Shoutout to the Maine Trails Coalition , and all our incredible fellow land trusts, volunteers, land stewards, and community partners who invest countless hours caring for these special places that help make Maine a healthier and more vibrant place to live.
