MYT BOARD MEMBERS AND VOUNTEERS NEEDED!

Valued members of the MYT family:

Thank you all for the immense response to the Elf JR production. Registration filled up in less than five minutes! We wish we had room for everyone for this show and a theater of our very own. We are grateful that 2025-26 was a year of huge growth for MYT with more shows and more participants than ever. At the same time, many of MYT's longest-serving volunteers and board members have moved on to other priorities, limiting our current capacity.

As such, MYT IS ACTIVELY SEEKING NEW BOARD MEMBERS AND VOLUNTEERS to make the shows of 2027 and beyond possible. If you and/or your children enjoy taking part in MYT productions, please consider joining us in a more formal way!

MYT NEEDS MULTIPLE NEW BOARD MEMBERS who can help in a variety of ways, including choosing shows, production, outreach, and setting the course of MYT for the years to come.

MYT NEEDS VOLUNTEERS WITH EXPERTISE IN SPECIFIC AREAS such as finance/accounting, non-profit fundraising, legal skills, and grant writing, whether such persons serve on the board or not.

With new volunteers and members of the MYT Board, 2027 will be a great next step for the ever-growing MYT family!

Calling all volunteers! 🎭✨

The MYT costume/set shop needs some love, and we are hosting a Clean-Up & Organization Day next Sunday, October 18th, starting at 10:00 AM at the Cooks Corner Self Storage.

Whether you love sorting wardrobe pieces, have an eye for organization, or just want to support local non-profit theater, we would love to have you! As the saying goes, many hands make light work—even just an hour or two of your time will make a massive difference in sorting through racks, labeling bins, and getting our creative space stage-ready.

Important pumpkin update! Due to a truck delay, pumpkin unloading at the Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church in Maine will now happen on Thursday Oct 8 at 2:30. We hope to see you then!

Pumpkin Help Needed Oct 7 @ 2:15 at the Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church!

MYT families and friends,

It is that time of year again when our wonderful hosts and partners at Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church are preparing for their Halloween pumpkin sale! As you may know, the church sources their pumpkins from farms in New Mexico run by Navajo indigenous farmers, and the pumpkins arrive all at once in a large trailer.

MCPC are our generous hosts for scores of rehearsals and auditions each year, and all they ever ask of MYT is that our families and friends help them unload the pumpkins when they arrive! It is a fun community gathering and great example of many hands making light work, unloading the truck and moving pumpkins of all sizes into position for the sale.

The truck is scheduled to arrive at 2:15 on Wednesday, October 7, and depending on how many volunteers show up the unloading will likely last for a couple of hours. Please join the MYT and church families as we do this together! Anyone old enough to move the pumpkins around without adult supervision is welcome, so parents please judge whether your kids are old enough to take part. We would love for MYT to have at least 25 volunteers show up! If you can be there for some or all of this time, please sign up on this Google Sheet so we know how many people will be there:

Announcements coming soon about MYT's holiday and winter show schedule. For now, let's make this a great fall for Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church and everyone who makes purchasing pumpkins there a family tradition.
