It's Friday.... what does that mean??? Hopefully you'll do something fun like go to First Friday. Staff and volunteers are trying to get together after sanctuary is cared for so maybe we'll see some of our fb friend's there😁👍

THUMBS UP in the comments if you think MULES are fascinating! This is 'Rufus' (24yrs old) with his handsome, strange self LOL! He is our more standoff-ish mule out of 4, our mini named Bruce is skittish and runs away from everyone, but tries hard to at least look at people. Rufus has his life long buddy Roscoe here with him. Roscoe loves people and attention. They both have scarring on most of their skin from bug sensitivity. Their owner surrendered them in 2024 to NPHS when he could no longer care for them with his age related health issues and their severe allergy to bugs which were more intense by the swamps. They spent their entire lives together pulling carts in events and personal enjoyment with their daddy. The sound they make is so unique! Being mules.... half donkey/half horse, their ears are smaller than donks and bigger than horses- right in the middle. Many have the typical donkey white muzzle... but not these guys. They are handsome for sure. Come see them😍

Home is where the heart is for 🩷Lacey (Witch Pants) who got a new Doo so when you come you'll make sure to notice she's a spicy lil thing that LOVES attention... but doesn't like hugs (like Hamilton does) or want all the fussy petting👐 She's an interesting one for sure! A staff member braided her wild mane helping her get ready for the live stream cams, which will hopefully bring in funds to keep her at her favorite home on Georgetown Rd in Brunswick. She's been here since the doors opened in 2017. If anyone can help Lacey stay here along with 31 other equines, 5 goats, and loads of ducks and chickens... send your ideas for fundraisers or please try and become a $5 monthly caring neighbor who wants Lacey to stay stay stay... until her last day🩷

We are trying to reach 5k followers by end of September. It helps us raise more money for all our babies when everyone responds to our videos and posts! Spread the word..... invite your friend list. Live stream 24/7 will hopefully start in less than a week so everyone can watch your favorites doing their thing. Also, we are striving for 500 monthly recurring donations of $5 by the end of September. Please help us get there! Spread the word to keep NPHS's door open and continue to be what so many have come to know as home. Shut down is always looming, sad to say, and is so stressful. We currently have 14 amazing sponsors which supplies a little over $600. We need over $2k just for the hay truck each month. We need another $2k to supply feed, medications, farrier, vet care and general supplies like halters, brushes, new feed buckets, and such.

We are working really hard to clean up and fix things with the help of our volunteers. It gets really hard to keep up which, if you have animals, you know how challenging it can be with say 5 or 10... try over 50 and it's a whole new ballgame! Once you step into this ballpark you need to ask for help. We are finally seeing new volunteers showing up and enjoying the tasks along side us for these precious animals. Our goal is to make both people and animals enjoy their time together. It's not all fun and games of course but it's a beautiful thing to see and be a part of. We appreciate everyone who is rolling up their sleeves with us and sending a heart felt THANKS😇 💛!

Peek-A-Boo Duck
The Quack Shack keeps getting cozier! Many have enjoyed it and we know you will too so plan a visit and enjoy the lovable horses, donkeys, mules, minis, goats, chickens, and duckers! This is the place to be and visits are FREE! We do accpet donations but if you want to visit 5 times a month you can and with out charge. Very educational as well. If you need to do community service hours this is the place to make a difference for over 50 critters while you fulfill your obligation. Volunteers are our blessing and they are blessed back big time with loads of love in every paddock ❤️

The QUACKERS are Collin, Meadow, Mason, Chuckles AKA Chuck the Duck, Westley, Willow, Juno, Mackenzie AKA Mac Mac, Tipper Noodle, and Shiloh

The gate is always shut, we're open, after entering please shut it behind you but please come in... we are open 10 to 4 daily for visits😄

A peaceful morning watching some of the donks in C1 eating their morning hay waiting and hoping for volunteers and visitors today to help keep their area cleaned, their waters filled, and to help the tiny 2 person staff trying to care for over 50 horses, mules, donkeys, minis, goats, chickens, and ducks 💛 Visits are free but donations are appreciated. Gate is closed but you can come in and close the gate behind you to prevent a loose critter from getting out on the road. Thanks and hope to see you today🧡

It takes an army to take care of 50 plus critters on a daily.... want to join our volunteer army? Stop on by! It could make or break us. We can't do it without you. Are there any chicken people out there to help us with a few things? We are still in GREAT need of regular monthly small donations. Covering the hay truck for 3 weeks is over $2000. Gas prices went up so the hay cost went up. Please consider being a $5 a month sponsor. With everyone pitching $5 we can cover hay and maybe some other needs like dewormer. Todays heat will definitely pose a huge challenge in caring for staff and over 50 animals who all have age and health issues. Keep us in your thoughts😇 If you can come and help hose them down and refresh waters so they are not drinking hot water we would love to see you and so would they🐴❣️

If you come please know the gate is front gate is ALWAYS closed due to animals getting loose. Come in, shut the gate again, and park and look for us straight ahead where the paddocks are. We are hardly ever in the trailer. Thanks🧡

The ducks know how to stay cool! Their Quack Shack🦆 is a great place to cool off and relax
