New Paths Horse Sanctuary (NPHS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on helping make the world around us a better, happier place. At NPHS we are determined to provide exceptional care for our senior, lame, unrideable equine friends, while at the same time strengthening the bond between the horse-human relationship. Unfortunately, when horses become senior in age, develop health issues, or
are deemed unrideable they often lose their “value” and become “burdensome” to their owners. We strive to lead by example and show the community that horses and humans can share a powerful bond and engage in mutually beneficial relationships that doesn’t have to involve riding. NPHS has created and maintains a beautiful, peaceful, safe space for these sweet horses to live out their days knowing they are valued and loved. The sanctuary is the perfect environment to foster relaxation in our animals as well as our guests. While carefully monitoring and caring for the special health conditions of our animals we welcome guests to visit the sanctuary and discover the benefits of the human-horse relationship. Our horses are encouraged with positive reinforcement training techniques. This style of training helps strengthen the human-horse relationship and creates a safe training environment where the animals are willing to learn and participate. Giving back to our community is also something that NPHS deeply values. We proudly provide jobs and volunteer opportunities for our community, as well as, provide education and learning opportunities to anyone who is interested. We have big dreams for how NPHS will grow in the heart of Brunswick. Currently, we are in the process of reaching out to and collaborating with a wide variety of organizations (details to come).
