DAY 6 - Bringing it all together. Crew finished up their projects - painting, cleaning, roofs and gutters, drainage l, baseball and other miscellaneous items.

A couple of highlights were moving two families into Community 1, passing out rice and cooking oil, going to the Basilica for reflection on our service to the Lord and last but not least…. a much needed break to the beach.

Sunday the group travels home knowing that many hands make light work to help others…. Even just a little. Thank you to all who support Mission Possible in any way they can.

DAY 5 of Work - Finally finished the drainage and grading improvements (it’s take a while doing it all by hand), painting finished up, many other infrastructure and home improvements, Finished the septic tank repair, roof and gutter repairs/improvements and a lot of little miscellaneous items to do.

We had some fun by catching a local baseball game at our field and catching the USA World Cup Match in the Community Center.

Most importantly and what we are here to do, the group cleaned and prepared 2 homes for two families that we moved in this afternoon. The smiles and happiness of the families tell a thousand words in thanks to Mission Possible and God.

A big thank you to everyone who supports this cause.

Tomorrow brings moving 2 more families into Community 1.

DAY 4 - Drainage/Road Crew almost finished fixing roads for better drainage. Paint Crew hard at work beautifying the Community and several house/infrastructure repair crews fixing sinks, toilets, septic tanks, etc.

In the morning, Fr. Bob led a visit down to the river. In the U.S., waterfront/river property is expensive and highly sought. Down here, it’s where all the debris, trash and sanitary waste are. This is where the impoverished live that we try to help. It’s a very impactful stop to show the group of our work.

As our Mission Possible - Dominican Republic team prepares to serve in the Dominican Republic, we ask our parish family to keep them in prayer.

These missionaries will spend their time building homes, serving communities, sharing Christ’s love, and forming relationships that transcend language and culture. While they will travel to make a difference in the lives of others, they will undoubtedly return changed themselves.

Please join us in praying for their safety, their work, the families they will encounter, and the lasting impact of this mission.

May God guide their hands, strengthen their hearts, and use them as instruments of His peace.

🙏 Please keep our missionaries in your prayers throughout their journey.
