New Hope Clubhouse Brownwood

New Hope Clubhouse will not reopen due to lack of community volunteers to provide essential oversight for the paid staff. The nearest Clubhouse is now San Angelo Clubhouse. The Clubhouse MEMBERS should feel very proud of what they have built over these last few years!!!!! San Antonio Clubhouse, Clubhouse Texas, and Clubhouse International are still going strong and ready to help future clubhouse projects. CTCI will not be starting more and has dissolved.

At this time we do not have enough active volunteers to keep our 501c3 going. The 501c3 was created to serve people in Brown, Eastland, Brady, San Saba, Comanche, McCulloch, and Mills counties. **ANY group or church in any of those counties that wants to start a Mental Health Clubhouse could potentially take over Central Tx Clubhouse Initiative 501c3 and make a fresh start.** For more info about our 501c3 contact [email protected].

I am very sorry for the lack of communication, everyone. New Hope Clubhouse has temporarily closed due to some very unexpected changes. I know this is a big let-down for many, especially with so many plans that were made. I don't know what is next for New Hope, but I will post when there is news.

Despite the setbacks for New Hope, funding and support for mental health clubhouses is growing in Texas, making it more feasible than ever for people to come together and start a Clubhouse. If anyone is wanting to volunteer to help open a mental health clubhouse in either Brown, Mills, McCulloch, San Saba, Coleman, Brady, or Comanche county, please contact [email protected]. We have resources to help you, including contacts at Clubhouse Texas. - Christy (I am still helping this project, even though I am no longer in Brownwood.)

We have the best community partners!

Come by Autozone this Saturday August 7th from 10am-2pm. We will be having a bake sale to raise money for our new Clubhouse. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

A great weekend for Clubhouse! Thank you to Senator Dawn Buckingham for taking time out to learn more about what Clubhouse does in our community. Meeting up with other State leaders and enjoying a fantastic keynote by former State Representative Scott Turner.
