During this morning’s Mills County Commissioners meeting, we honored Keri Roberts for her 18 years of dedicated service on our Board of Trustees. Throughout her tenure, she has been instrumental in guiding the Center through numerous challenges and achieving remarkable successes. Her contributions will be deeply missed. We eagerly anticipate collaborating with her successor, Charles Walters, as he continues to uphold the county’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can affect anyone who has experienced or witnessed a traumatic event. While many people associate PTSD with military service, it can also impact survivors of accidents, abuse, violence, natural disasters, and other life-altering experiences.

This month, we encourage our community to learn more, reduce stigma, and support those living with PTSD. Recovery is possible, and no one has to face it alone.

If you or someone you know is struggling, reaching out for help is a sign of strength.
