Tomorrow is our last Walton Wednesday of 2026. !0 am to 1:30 pm.
As always these events are open to the public. The address is 3364 Gooney Manor Loop, Bentonville, VA 22610.

We have Kathleen Fish from the Department of Forestry coming to teach the kids about trees and their job in the environment.

Then we will be making tree sculptures and having a pizza party. After that, free play and fishing.

Bring all the kids you have or can find and come enjoy a day in our Park.

THIS DAY IS JUST GOING TO BE FISHING. PER THE REQUEST OF SEVERAL CHILDREN. WE WILL BE SUPPLYING LUNCH AGAIN AND WORMS. PLEASE BRING YOUR KIDS, THEIR FRIENDS, AND FISHING EQUIPMENT IF YOU HAVE IT. IF YOU DON'T WE HAVE SEVERAL AVAILABLE. ALSO PARENTS MUST STAY AND HELP WITH THIS TASK.

Good morning,

Our next Walton Wednesday is just 2 sleeps away. June 10. Get ready to gather your kids and their friends to spend a few hours outside in the Park.
This one also starts at 10 am but this time you don't have to pack a lunch. We are supplying lunch, hotdogs, and chips, and ice pops as part of the experience.
Our topic will be " Things that live in our pond" . Always fun for the kids, and us adults, to realize how many critters start their bug life in the water.
These events are "Rain or Shine".
As usual this event is open to the public, so tell your extended family and neighbors. We look forward to these days and meeting new kids.

Walton Wednesdays start this week.
June 3, 2026 10:00 am to 1:30 pm at Izaak Walton

The Warren County High School FFA will be teaching on composting, then lunch, bring a bag lunch for you and your kids. Then free play and fishing for the rest of the time. Usually 1 and 1/2 hours.

Parents must stay on the property and this is always open to the public.
A wonderful way to get the kids out in nature and enjoying fresh air.

Tomorrow is the day, we are ready to spend the day having fun and meeting new friends.
We are aware that the Wine & Craft festival is also happening tomorrow. But we have an idea, Mom's and Dad's bring the kids out to Izaak Walton for the morning. They will spend a few hours fishing and eating and doing crafts in the fresh air and around 1:00 ish they should be good and tired. That's when you drop them off with the Grandparents and you guyd go to the Wine Festival and enjoy some wine and good food peacefully.

Just a thought, and a morning at Izaak Walton won't cost you a thing.

Our events for the year start this weekend.

The first Kid Saturday this coming Saturday is April 11, 2026. 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. This one is about growing your own vegetables. The kids will learn about planting a garden and how to do that in a small area. And will get to plant tomatoes, and peppers to take home.

All of these events are open to the public and free. A parent or guardian must stay on the property during these events. Please bring a bag lunch for yourself and your kids, and their friends or cousins. Supplies for the event will be provided by IWLA. There will be a short lesson on conservation in the morning and a take home craft to go along with the lesson immediately following the lesson. Then lunch and open play and /or fishing in the Park .
