The Brownsville Chamber of Commerce was proud to participate in the Rio Grande Valley Partnership's Days in Washington, D.C., joining regional leaders from across the Rio Grande Valley to advocate for the priorities that drive economic growth, infrastructure investment, workforce development, and opportunity throughout our region.
🤝 During our time in our nation's capital, we met with the offices of U.S. Congressman Vicente Gonzalez, U.S. Senator John Cornyn, and U.S. Senator Ted Cruz to discuss the planning and priorities of our upcoming Brownsville Chamber Washington, D.C. Fly-In, taking place September 15–17, 2026.
👏 A special thank you to our Board Members and the Brownsville Chamber's Government & International Trade Committee for their continued leadership and commitment to advocacy. We are especially grateful to Committee Chair Mark Hodgson for joining us on this trip and helping advance the conversations that matter most to our community.
💙 We also extend our sincere appreciation to the congressional staff members who welcomed us with open arms and graciously hosted our visits. Their time, engagement, and willingness to listen are invaluable as we work together to strengthen opportunities for Brownsville and the Rio Grande Valley.
📣 Together, we are ensuring the voice of Brownsville and the Rio Grande Valley is heard at the federal level and helping shape a stronger future for our communities.
