🍎 Good Food, Good Health, and Great Fellowship!

Our next Rotary Club of Rancho Viejo meeting will be held this Tuesday, October 13, at 6 PM at Natural Grocers in Brownsville.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Anissa Falcon, Nutritional Health Coach at Natural Grocers, as our guest speaker on Cooking for Healthy Living.

With a lifelong passion for food, a background in the culinary industry, and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from UTRGV, Anissa brings a unique perspective on the intersection of food, culture, and nutrition.

The PossAble Dream Rotaract Club held its third meeting, and were honored to welcome Andy Hagan, Past District Governor for District 5930. He spoke with the members about Rotaract, the meaning of Service Above Self, and the lasting impact they can create in our community. He also invited them to sign up for the Rotary Leadership Institute at UTRGV on October 17.

Students at the PossAble Dream Adult High School are getting closer to chartering their club! They are drafting bylaws, preparing for elections, and taking part in their first community service event this week. It’s exciting to watch their ideas turn into action.

What an inspiring visit with the PossAble Dream Adult High School Rotaract Club! 💙💛

Rancho Viejo Rotary President Nancy Escobedo and Past-President Dr. Ceci Gomez joined Dr. Elaine Hernandez, Past District Governor of Rotary District 5930, for a special visit with the members of this growing Rotaract Club.

The students shared their dreams, their goals, and what it means to remain committed—even when the journey takes time. Their determination, openness, and enthusiasm for building a community through service are a wonderful reminder of what Rotary and Rotaract are all about.

We are proud to support these students as they pursue their dreams and discover the many ways they can make a difference in their community. ✨

🌟 Honoring Pedro Rolando Morgan
We were honored to formally recognize the life and legacy of Pedro Rolando Morgan by presenting his family with Pedro’s Honorary Membership in the Rotary Club of Rancho Viejo. This special honor reflects the respect, friendship, fellowship, and appreciation our club holds for Pedro.
💡 An Inspiring Speaker
We were also very fortunate to welcome Mr. Daniel Silva, Vice President of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation. Daniel shared valuable information about current incentives and programs, along with his perspective on entrepreneurship, innovation, and the future of economic development in Brownsville.

🌟 Small beginnings. Big dreams. A heart for service!

Today, the first Rotaract meeting was held at The PossAble Dream Adult High School! We’re building our club one meeting, one connection, and one idea at a time. ❤️

Students are working toward brighter futures, and through Rotaract, they’ll have opportunities to grow as leaders, serve others, and make a difference in their communities.

Pizza for lunch, meaningful conversations, and the beginning of something special. I’m excited to see what the Rotaractors at The PossAble Dream Adult High School will build together! 🍕✨

🇲🇽 There was so much to celebrate at the Rotary Club of Rancho Viejo’s Mexican Independence Day Fiesta! 🎉

One of the highlights of the evening was welcoming two new members to our Rotary family. We were proud to officially induct Alma Trevino and Jesse De La Llate into the Rotary Club of Rancho Viejo and look forward to the energy, talents, and spirit of service they will bring to our club and community. 💙

The evening also marked our first gathering in our new meeting home at Rancho Viejo City Hall, with Mayor Todd Day joining us for the celebration.

And we had another exciting reason to celebrate—our club received its first Rotary District Grant! The grant will help repair the roof and support education at Fundación Down de Matamoros A.C., a school serving children with Down syndrome in Matamoros.

With delicious food, mariachi, great fellowship, new members, and new opportunities to serve, it was a wonderful way to celebrate Mexican Independence Day and the continued growth of our club. 🇲🇽⚙️💙
