Volunteer Spotlight ๐ŸŒŸ

Today, weโ€™re celebrating Beverly Pizana, whose dedication and advocacy recently helped support a successful family reunification!

After closing their case and seeing the child and family reunified, Beverly didnโ€™t hesitate to ask, โ€œWho can I help next?โ€

Rather than taking a break, they immediately chose to take on another case and continue advocating for children in need. Their willingness to keep showing up, speak up, and make a difference is a beautiful reminder of the impact one dedicated advocate can have.

We are so grateful for the time, heart, and compassion Beverly gives to the children they serve. Congratulations on this meaningful milestone, and thank you for already stepping forward to help another child!

Thank you for being a voice for children and for continuing to make a difference, one case at a time! ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’™ DID YOU KNOW? | THE HISTORY OF CASA
CASA began with one simple idea: children in foster care deserve someone speaking up for them.
In 1977, Seattle Superior Court Judge David Soukup recognized that judges needed more information about the children appearing before them. He asked community members to volunteer their time to learn about childrenโ€™s lives and provide the court with a more complete picture of what each child needed.
That idea became the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program.
What started in one courtroom grew into a nationwide movement of volunteers advocating for children in the child welfare system. ๐Ÿ’™
Today, CASA volunteers continue that same mission:
To stand beside children, listen to their stories, and advocate for their best interests.
One idea. One courtroom. A movement that continues to make a difference.

๐Ÿ’™ What if one person could make a difference in a childโ€™s life?
For a child in foster care, having someone who consistently shows up can mean having someone to talk to, someone who listens, and someone who makes sure their needs donโ€™t get overlooked.
That person could be a CASA volunteer.
You donโ€™t need to be perfect.
You donโ€™t need to have all the answers.
You just need to be willing to show up and speak up.
โœจ One volunteer. One child. One voice that matters.
Could that voice be yours?

๐ŸŒŸ CASA VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: Ashely Meshioye! ๐ŸŒŸ

Today, weโ€™re celebrating Ashely Meshioye for her incredible dedication, compassion, and commitment to the children she has advocated for over the past year! ๐Ÿ’™

Ashely has been a consistent and caring presence in the lives of the young children on her case, meeting their energy with patience, playfulness, and genuine connection. From reading together and getting down on their level to play, to advocating for their medical needs and showing up in court, Ashely has gone above and beyond to ensure each childโ€™s needs and best interests are represented. ๐Ÿงธ๐Ÿ“šโš–๏ธ

Her dedication shines through in the little things, too! Ashely has remained dependable throughout her case, keeping her Optima notes up to date and following through on the important responsibilities that make a difference in effective advocacy.

๐Ÿ’™ Ashely, thank you for showing up, speaking up, and making a difference! We are so grateful for the time, heart, and energy youโ€™ve poured into your CASA children. Your consistency and compassion remind us that sometimes, simply being there can change a childโ€™s life.

๐Ÿ‘ Help us celebrate Ashely and thank her for the incredible work she does as a CASA volunteer!
