And finally graduation night for our Leadership Brownsville Class 39! Over the past nine months, we dedicated every 3rd Thursday to this amazing organization learning more about our incredible City of Brownsville and connecting with our classmates from various industries and backgrounds. For our group project, we chose to support the Moody Clinic for a complete remodel and upgrade of their kitchen to an ADA Kitchen Learning Lab and managed to raise $59,155 in just five months—a record for Leadership Brownsville. With a final generous donation from Jeff and Elise Ray, we boosted our total to $60,000! Additionally, $33,511.65 will go to the Moody Clinic Charles' Legacy patient scholarship fund, making Class 39 the largest donor this year. This journey has been incredible, legendary, full of meaningful connections, lasting friendships and a deeper love for our city of Brownsville. We are so proud to be part of this legendary class and see the incredible impact we've made in our community.♥️

Thanks to a final and generous donation from Jeff and Elise Ray, Leadership Brownsville Class 39 increased their fundraising total from $59,155 to $60,000!!! Completed in 5 months, this momentous achievement also makes them the class to have raised the most funds for their charitable project in the history of Leadership Brownsville! We could not feel prouder considering our original goal was $36,000. Having surpassed that goal, after applying the ADA Kitchen Learning Lab expenses, a leftover amount of $33,511.65 will go to the Moody Clinic Charles' Legacy patient scholarship fund, also making Class 39 the largest donor to the scholarship fund this year. We are so grateful to all our donors and supporters who made this possible for Moody Clinic patients and their families. This would not be possible without the support of our community!

Yesterday marked a historic milestone as we celebrated the grand unveiling of the newly renovated Moody Clinic ADA Kitchen Learning Lab.

Class 39 exceeded our own expectations by raising an astounding $59,155, far surpassing our initial goal of $30,000 for the renovation project. The surplus amount of $32,665 will now go towards the Charles Legacy Scholarship Fund, guaranteeing that special needs children in need of vital speech, occupational, or physical therapy can access it, regardless of financial constraints.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our supportive community for standing by us every step of the way, and special thanks to Jessica Cuevas of Moody Clinic for her invaluable assistance in ensuring a seamless process.

With full hearts, we’re onto graduation! 🎓
