Divas in Pink Womens Cancer Support Group We are a group of women united to support other women who are cancer patients or cancer survivors. Hello, my name is Yanett and I am a cancer survivor.

The good Lord has given me the strength to carry on and help others. My family and I opened Ribbons of Hope in 2012 because there was a need for a mastectomy supply boutique. There are many women in the RGV that are in need of these supplies but lack the funds. We have fundraisers often to help these women get the items they need. We are always in need of help and volunteers. Divas in Pink came a

bout because a lot of the women that come into the boutique talk about their stories. We don't want to be alone, we want someone to talk to, someone we can relate to. Divas in Pink is just that! We are a group of women (cancer patients, cancer survivors, friends) that get together the first Wednesday of the month at Valley Regional Medical Center. When we meet we discuss things that are going on with us, things that we need. And, based on the need we try to get local professionals to come and speak. Our mission is to provide support to women and their loved ones impacted by cancer. We don't need to fight cancer alone. Together we can FIGHT to be there for each other.
