Haywood High School hosted their fall blood drive through Lifeline Blood Services. Our students donated a total of 39 units, which can help save up to 117 lives!

Last week Haywood High School HOSA participated in the annual TN HOSA State Leadership Conference in Chattanooga. 12 members competed in healthcare events including Public Service Announcement, Patient Care Technician, Healthcare Issues, Biomedical Debate, and HOSA Happenings. Special recognition was given to members Ilie Aguillon, Derkavia Woodland, and A’miya Perry who all ranked in the top percentage of their respective events. While there members also had the opportunity to attend academy sessions to expand their growth in certain areas of healthcare and they got to network with other HOSA members and health professionals from across the state. We are so proud of our future healthcare professionals! Haywood High School Haywood County Schools 💙❤️

Our Patient Care Technician students teamed up with Coordinated School Health and TCAT Practical Nursing Program (LPN), students to assist with health screenings at our local elementary schools! They gained hands-on experience, practiced their skills, and learned from other health professionals—a fantastic opportunity for growth and inner-department support!
