🎉 Exciting News, Scout Families! 🌟

This past POW WOW weekend, we jumped into a thrilling and historic adventure – teaching our Scouts the art of shooting black powder muzzleloaders! 🌲🔫

Picture this: A step back in time to the days of pioneers and frontiersmen. Our Scouts will learn the fascinating history of these iconic fi****ms and the vital role they played in shaping our nation. 🇺🇸🌳

But it's not just about history. They'll also get hands-on experience! Under expert supervision, our Scouts will learn the intricacies of loading, aiming, and safely firing muzzleloaders. It's a unique blend of skill, patience, and discipline – all key traits of a true Scout. 🎯🧐

Safety is our top priority, so rest assured that every precaution is being taken to ensure a safe and educational experience. 🛡️

What a past weekend! Troop 11 attend our annual powwow celebration .

This has become a way that Native American people representing all tribal backgrounds can join together to share experiences, reconnect with old friends, and make new ones. It is an opportunity to reflect on time-honored traditions, while helping to educate future generations of dancers and singers.

At Pow Wow we enjoy fire chats with friends,we break bread together and we learn of our Native American guests.

🌟 Honoring Veterans is what Troop 11 did when participating in the Silent Parade 🇺🇸

This past Veterans Day, our troop is proud to participate in the silent parade, a solemn and respectful event to honor those who have served. Here are 3️⃣ reasons why participating in this event builds great character in our young members:

Respect for History and Sacrifice 🎖️: By marching in silence, our youth learn to appreciate the sacrifices made by veterans and the importance of remembering historical events.
Discipline and Teamwork 🤝: The silent parade requires a high level of discipline and coordination. Our members learn the value of working together in silence, understanding non-verbal cues, and maintaining a solemn demeanor throughout the event.
Community Engagement 🌍: Participation in community events like this helps our young members understand their role in the larger community and the importance of civic engagement.

I recently attended an adult birthday party at a restaurant, and it turned into a memorable experience. 🎉 While we were all having a great time celebrating, a sudden, alarming moment occurred.

😮 One of the ladies at our table looked terrified as she pointed at something, and another voice cried out that she’s choking. I couldn't believe it, but I knew I had to step in. 🚀

Without hesitation, I rushed to her side, asking if she needed my help. The group confirmed that she was indeed choking, so I immediately began performing the Heimlich maneuver. My mind was racing, preparing for the next steps in case my efforts were unsuccessful.

Thankfully, with a little divine intervention, I heard someone say, "There! Thank you." She turned around, thanked me, and gave me a heartfelt hug. 🙏💓

As I walked away from that moment still in disbelief, the entire restaurant burst into applause. 👏 It made me reflect on the importance of learning first aid techniques, which I had acquired through my involvement with the Boy Scouts.

I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if I hadn't received that training. No one else knew how to help her, and it's a sobering thought. 😓

I share this story not for personal recognition but to raise awareness about the importance of learning these life-saving techniques. I'm deeply grateful to the Boy Scouts for teaching these skills to our scouts, and I hope this experience encourages others to seek out similar training opportunities. Our communities need more good Samaritans like you. 🤝
