🚨💔 PEPPER IS RUNNING OUT OF TIME — SHE NEEDS A FOSTER OR ADOPTER BY OCTOBER 16TH! 💔🚨

Somewhere out there is a person who could be everything Pepper needs. Someone patient. Someone understanding. Someone who won’t give up on her before she’s even had a fair chance to settle in.
WE JUST NEED TO FIND THEM BEFORE OCTOBER 16TH. 😭💔
Meet Pepper! She’s approximately 2 years old, fully vetted, full of personality, and ready to find someone who will see her for the wonderful girl she is.
Unfortunately, Pepper’s first adoption lasted only TWO DAYS before she was returned. 💔 Adjusting to a new home takes time, and the decompression guidance provided wasn’t followed as needed. Once again, Pepper found herself back at square one.
Imagine finally leaving the rescue world behind, only to be right back where you started before you even have a chance to figure out your new surroundings.
That’s Pepper’s reality, and she deserves so much better.
But we’re not giving up on her. ❤️
🐾 LET’S TALK ABOUT THE REAL PEPPER!
This girl is energetic, affectionate, goofy, and loves attention! She’s got plenty of personality and so much potential. She just needs a home that understands her needs and is willing to give her the time and consistency she needs to succeed.
Is she the right fit for every household? No. And that’s okay! We’re looking for the RIGHT home, not just the first available one.
❤️ HERE’S WHAT HER FUTURE HOME NEEDS TO KNOW:
🐶 Dog friends: Pepper is best suited for a home with medium-to-large dogs.
🐱 Cats: Absolutely NO cats. Pepper fixates on them, and we will not put cats at risk.
👧 Children: Kids must be at least 10 years old and able to understand and respect a dog’s boundaries.
🏡 Home life: Pepper struggles with separation anxiety and isn’t comfortable being crated. However, she’s successfully been left loose in the home unsupervised before. Her future caregiver must be willing to work with her individual needs and determine what is safe and appropriate for her.
💗 Confidence building: She needs continued support, patience, and positive experiences to help her thrive.
🕰️ Decompression: This is a BIG one! Pepper needs someone who understands that adjusting to a new home doesn’t happen overnight. She needs time to settle in, learn her new routine, and build trust.
🚨 PLEASE READ: Pepper’s placement requirements are NON-NEGOTIABLE. We will not make exceptions to meet a deadline.
We’re not looking for someone who expects a perfect dog from day one. We’re looking for someone who understands that rescue dogs need guidance, consistency, and a chance to feel safe.
Pepper doesn’t need someone to feel sorry for her. She needs someone willing to SHOW UP for her.
Someone who won’t throw in the towel when the transition gets difficult.
Someone who will listen to the rescue’s guidance, follow the decompression process, and give her a genuine opportunity to succeed.
Someone who understands that TWO DAYS IS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO EXPECT A DOG TO FEEL AT HOME.
💔 We will always take our dogs back when an adoption doesn’t work out. We will always advocate for them and do our best to protect them.
Now we need our village to help us do that for Pepper.
