Families, are you looking for something to do this Saturday?
We still have a few openings this Saturday, June 13th - 10:30am-12N for our Outdoor Sketching class. Join artist and illustrator Bill Tulp for lessons in drawing from observation. Flowers, trees, natural objects, and historic buildings on the museum grounds will be artistic subjects. We will start with simple sketches and progress to more elaborate drawings. In case of inclement weather, we will draw inside with a collection of natural objects. Participants are encouraged to bring a sketchbook to share their previous work with the group. Participants will go home with a pocket sketchbook and a lesson on Nature Journaling.
Meets at the Homestead, Age 6 to 12+, $12 cost per participant

To register, send an email to [email protected] with the names and ages of children. Make a family day of it. A supervising adult should attend or be on-site with your children. A confirmation will be sent with exact meeting locations and directions.

Led by Tracie Quirion of QT's Baskets, this workshop will guide you through creating a unique and functional basket while exploring this rich, traditional art form.
